I watched someone the other day in he lane right in front of a cop change lanes in an intersection. Never seen red and blues turn on so fast

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

lmao come to the dominican republic, it happens all the fucking time and cops dont do shit about it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably got the driver for crossing white lines. It's not illegal to cut in line. You just shouldn't cross white lines to do it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He did cross the solid exit line. It wasn't so much about cutting in line. There's no law against that. He crossed just the line.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The cop showing him to the front of the line. How generous

9 years ago | Likes 297 Dislikes 1

ooooooeeeee I like the cut of your jib

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

But the real question, WHY DID HE POST THIS DASH CAM FOOTAGE!?

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

"Look at how mean this asshole cop was to me", probably. Some people are that stupid.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

And the driver was executed on the spot and everybody clapped

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I live in E Hartford, 2 miles from that exit. It's backed up like 18 hours a day. Just take Rt 3 to Rt 2. Save much headache.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's actually because the driver crossed a solid white line...a few feet sooner and no issues there.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Die in a fire if you do this.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This is in CT on I-91...Hate that exit with a PASSION, there's always that

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

McCuntface whom cuts off the front car and starts a braking domino effect

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The first GIF is quite long and totally unnecessary.

9 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 13

Not really, it shows how long the line of waiting cars was. Gives context for how douchey of a move it was.

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Could've decreased the pixels and merged them into one gif

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was the intent, but I suppose I could've truncated these into two gifs with lower picture quality. live and learn, I guess

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I hate people that do this. They think they're so smart. They actually cause more traffic by cutting people off like that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sir are you a cop? No. Then you cant do that.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

This cop is doing god's work

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've gotten off at this exit SO many times. People constantly do this and make the traffic backup even worse.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I haaaaaaaaaaate assholes like this, not just because of the self-importance, but because they think braking space == cutting in space.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

When you're going slow it's not such an arse but I've had people do it to me at 90mph trying to push across to their exit.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He looks pissed!!!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love the angry pointing. That cop is probably a parent.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Holy fucking shit that was satisfying

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Saw a guy try to merge last minute on a motorway exit. Stopped completely in a lane that was moving at 70mph just to shove his way in 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bumper to bumper so no one could let him in. Big ass truck pulls up right behind & beeps/revs. Guy misses exit & I had a good chuckle 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I hate the fuckers that do this!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Then you're probably one of the idiots lining up a mile before the exit. No and no.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

And you're the fuckboy that's making traffic more congested by lane hopping at the exit

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry. Traffic flow pattern research contradicts your logic.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That doesn't make any sense. If you're hopping in front of moving vehicles causing everyone else to hit their brakes, you're slowing traffic

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This needs to happen more

9 years ago | Likes 264 Dislikes 9

And when people ride out a lane that is ending, after ample warning, and then are forced to cut in or slam on the brakes.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

I wish they had more of these for people driving on the shoulder

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Agreed. The majority of heavy traffic build up I've seen is from shit like this.

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

Exacerbated by it but you can't pull shit like this if there's no buildup to cut into.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

There's an awesome gif that shows that, not specifically showing off/on ramps, but same concept

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not exactly. If one lane is ending (not the case here) and everyone is only using the open lane, mathematically, were screwing ourselves.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

This video was of an off ramp. Not a lane ending but a new one that the driver with the camera went around the line to the front.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know. The situation is different, I'm not arguing that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As a Chicagoan,

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

I live in Chicago. This is so true. This happens literally everyday during rush hour

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see how "you people" drive when you come up here for weekends

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Hey, at least we don't go 60 in the left lane lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

passed 3 illinois cars and 2 trucks yesterday that were so there is that

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Now you didn't do anything illegal. But you're an asshole." Cop probably.

9 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 30

Reckless driving (changed lanes on a solid line, changed lanes without leaving enough space )

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Try again. Changing on a solid is NOT reckless driving. Lmao. Also, there was enough room behind

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Actually he did do something illegal. Crossing a solid white line is illegal. Plus he cut the truck off.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He did though...

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Unsafe lane change, crossing a solid exit line. In my state that's a paddlin.

9 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 2

Solid lines are advisory. Double solids are enforceable. This is a double solid.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Technically it's illegal to change lanes through the solid lines where he did. At least in most states.

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

In my state, solid white is cautioned. Not illegal. Still glad he got his day fucked up.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Same in mine but he crossed where it separated into two lines and crossing two white lines is illegal in my state.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Shit like this really pisses me off, hope the cop gave him a ticket..

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Thought it was justified to give him a ticket, i think the cop shouldn't have stopped there, now the line of cars cant exit

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're part of the problem. If you're stupid enough to line up for a mile that's your problem. It's merge before the exit, not way before

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 27

Except when you can't get in and you have to cross solid lines or stop because you were going too fast and couldn't merge

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And then you ARE causing traffic, so stop doing it and looking like a cunt

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But EVERYBODY was exiting! If everybody merge at the exit they'd be blocking two lanes instead of one

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As more and more people move in and merge, you stay in the lane that allows you to keep speed. Most efficient way for everyone involved.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

If you look at the first gif, the driver had to cross two lanes to get to exit, if the right lane wants to continue straight they'd collide

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1)Traffic studies show the most efficient way to continue at speed for as long as you can, slow before the exit then merge. As mor

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

Illegal to cross a solid line

9 years ago | Likes 276 Dislikes 4

Not everywhere. Here in Ontario it is completely legal. Not recommended, but legal.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I think the issue is that he crossed the line after it split, that's a $500 fine in WA.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's actually obstructing the flow of traffic, I got ticketed for it ice cutting a line because I didn't realize it was my exit.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Discouraged to cross single solid line

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's called a gore line/lane. The triangle-ish areas at forks in the highway.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So why not make him do it again?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Had he gone two seconds earlier and just gotten behind the truck, no problems.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You don't see a problem with that! Are you fucking joking? Get in the exit lane early and wait your damn turn. TAKE TURNS PEOPLE

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Relax man, getting in the lane two seconds earlier wouldn't make him any less of an asshole, it just wouldn't be illegal.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's called Crossing the Gore. The V shaped area in on and off ramps.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I bet you're fun at parties

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cop turned on his lights before he made the turn.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yellow lines are "advisory". Single/double white lines is a jurisdictional thing. Yellow is always advisory. That includes signs.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

On the road in America, yellow is on the left, white on the right (simply put). You're correct for signs, but paint is different.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

but you cant cross a double yellow line.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hah yeah fair.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, not solid, but double solid white line.

9 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 13

No, it's illegal to cross solid white lines, this is masachusetts by the looks of things, so this is the quote that applies: "You can go 1/

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

Can confirm Massachusetts. I know exactly where this is

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Diregard after further review this is I-91 in Hartford, CT

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

in the same direction on both sides of this line (except the shoulder), but you should not cross it unless you need to avoid danger." 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

(Massachusetts drivers manual)

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Dick move yes, but stopping all traffic on a busy ramp just to scold a driver is WAY worse.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 34

Thinking the same thing. Love pulling him over, but could have done it without stopping the whole ramp.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

Do you know how long the stop was?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would imagine the cop pulled off the ramp after he got the car to pull off and stop. Not like he had much of a choice.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The driver crossed a solid white line, in most places that's an illegal and unsafe lane change.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Not arguing that. Stopping the entire ramp and creating more storage backs up traffic for miles just so the cop could make a power move.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

I'm pretty sure everyone in that queue was OK with it.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

Not the people half a mile back that are then stopped as a result, having never even seen the ass get pulled over.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

Well, we better stop punishing people breaking the law cause its a slight inconvenience to others

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

He could've easily punished them farther down the road, instead of stopping all ramp traffic. It has a ripple effect.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Gif ended too soon, maybe cop pulled over as well.
