I live in a late capitalist hellscape, saddled with unrelenting exestinsial dread gifted to me by a whole generation of people who live in denial about the sad state of the world. I have no choice but to watch as the planet is slowly boiled alive while fascist leaders advance their hateful agendas. Tolerance and human decency are stigmatized. The very idea that a person should have the right to be queer and adopt a child, determine their own sexual identity, retain their reproductive rights, have access to affordable healthcare, and be able to pursue an education is decried as radical and dangerous. But why? Why work so hard to make life difficult for so many people when you already have everything you could ever want or need?
Today I got to watch libraries get defunded and student visas get revoked, because none of the above is enough. The people who are trying to make the world a worse place are coming for free thought and diversity next.
So I'm going to laugh at some memes, because otherwise I'd be crying at the sheer despair of it all.

#7 The hardest thing I did as a Covid Tracer was ask my low income clients to unlock their front door and then lay on the couch and talk to me in case they passed out from oxygen deprivation before their friend/family member came to drive them to the ER. Why? Bc they couldn’t afford to call an ambulance.
We GOTTA make ambulance rides paid by the government the instant an epidemic is declared.

Hey, so- life sucks, I know.
A point of random good news:
Today I secured funding and means for my organization (DV survivor resources) to assist the escape and Visa status and re-housing of someone in an insane situation.
Everything sucks. But::: this woman gets out now and gets to live.
Maybe it's a drop in the bucket, but I'm taking the night to smoke a bowl on my bathroom and toss a chew ball for for my puppy
Shit is so shit. This is actually a good big thing. Let's make more.
