He's not the babysitter, he's the dad.

Babysitter? Looks more like a freaking father to me.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

He never knew the job would be so brutal.

I've always wondered....is that Kevin smith?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of course the comments are all just talking about how its black metal and not death metal, all metal is metal folks

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

DISTINCTIONS ARE IMPORTANT.

Lords Of Chaos is actually a pretty entertaining book

Elaborate further...

Black metal* death metal musicians party and play with cats. Black metalheads wear corpse paint

I know in my heart this is a repost but I have no proof

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Burn a church and it's 'metal'; burn one little cross and people lose their shit.

I hate this only cause he pulled a cookie sheet out of the oven with his bare hand.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

because burns are metal.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well this sends a very conflicting message. The music is death metal, but corpse paint is a black metal attribute. 0/10

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well throw me in a fprest and call me Varg

Boom!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well I'll shoot myself in the head and you'll take a picture

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And I'll make jewellery out of your skull and give them to the worthy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Downvoting solely on the premise that that would be Black Metal. Consider the feud between the two similar to the East/West coast rap feud.

9 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 20

No feuds... That's BS.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Go back to the early days of Black Metal where they explicitly hated Death Metal. It was created to be the Anti Death Metal in many ways.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

East vs West feuds have claimed too many. End the violence! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne0RrK5qJ-k

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So does that make Goatwhore and Ndingr kind of like a peace offering?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah pretty much. Same for a lot of folk metal like Ensiferum.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm an avid fan of both black and death metal, yet I still prefer correct classification

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No feud. If you think there is a feud you're too deep in the norwegian bullshit.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

There's not any more but back in the 80's and 90's there definitely was a feud that turned violent at times.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most specifically between the Norwegian Black Metal scene and the Swedish Death Metal scene.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Feud? I've never heard of any feuds but I'm more of a prog metal man myself

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Early on Black musicians hated death musicians to the point of killing each other.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

They also though Death Metal had become too mainstream and was analogous to pop music. Whereas Death saw Black as low quality and simple.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ahh yes I remember some of the old stories. Any feuds now? You'd think I'd read about them in metal injection

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not so much except Varg Vikernes still hates everyone especially the Jews and minorities. And tried to mail a bomb to an Israeli band.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A lot of bands cross the threshold now such as Behemoth and use elements of both.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Deaths and murders included obviously. But with more stylistic differences in music and lyrical theme.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More the lyrical content as each category held true to the common themes and hallmarks of metal.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was thinking more towards the explicit anti-christianity of Black versus the more violence, gore, and folk/mythology ideas of Death.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember stories of Euronymous from way back. In the more recent years, black and death merge as many lyricists incorporate themes of >

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

> death and destruction while attributing it to demons, devils, or other destructive things. I say that because it's not very often you >>

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

>> see a band that only sticks to one side. Also, folk and mythology have become autonomous (ie Heidevolk, Ensiferum, and Korpiklaani).

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

>2 in the earliest days Black Metal started as a direct response to the problems they percieved in Death Metal. Mainly the Commercialism

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

>4 directly contrasted the composed and carefully methodology death metal took in creating music that sounded clean and tight.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Definitely the genres split and blurred. I'm only referring to the origins back with Dark Funeral or Emperor vs. Entombed or Obituary.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

>3 and lack of deeper anti religious concept. Black Metal was in many ways the opposite of Death metal. The rawness and deeper message
