I eum might be too swedish to get the problem, well other then that 16 is a tad too early to have a kid but if both are of legal age it is really only their own business. (15 and no age gap restrictions is the law here so quite a different mindset)

I am in EU, legal age in my state is 15. The age of the girl isn't the problem, problem is the age gap, if he was 18 and she was 15, that's ok. But having 9 years difference is way to much and it is in creepy category. age also plays big role in power dynamic they would have between each other

My personal rule is ( age / 2 ) + 7 , but many US states have horribly named Romeo and Juliet laws that lower the age of consent as long as the older person is younger, i.e. 16-24.
