This awesome dude is threatening to have his dog put down if nobody adopts him. Ugh at least take him to the shelter and give him a chance. Anyways this is Marietta, GA (cobb county). Should anyone be looking for a new pet, contact this guy via Facebook. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3386930647988089&id=100000135603917

christ, people put more thought into which phone they want than they do getting a pet or having a kid.

So the first sentence he says the dog will be going to a shelter, then threatens to have the dog put down?

Link was removed

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

sounds like he never should’ve had a dog in the first place

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I hope the dude is hit by a car after he leaves the pound also if he isn't I hope they never ever get another pet

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

@OP, link's dead now. Apparently he realized that he just showed his class-A douchiness to the world.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...and the FB post is down.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't know a single vet that would put down a healthy dog. 100%, the dude is trying to sell the dog. Any shelter would easily rehome him.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

wait he is fucking stupid saying he is going to x shelter first then threatens to put the dog down that man is fucked in the head.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There's not a vet on this planet who would put that dog down just because the owner doesn't want him.

6 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

I was thinking the same thing. Then I remembered that to some people, "putting a dog down" is just shooting them. :(

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I really hope this isn't the case.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wtf..

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Someone should put him down! If you don't want a pet don't get one. Save the animal the heartache of it all! Tl:dr Shit human being shit!

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He contradicts himself in the same post. "Will be going to shelter," then, "will have to put him down." What a manipulative piece of shit.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Serious question, can someone just take a dog to a vet and say “hey I don’t want this dog anymore so please kill it”?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, it’s fucking terrible

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He spells goodbye "good buy" the dog never stood a chance bro

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The director of Cobb County Rescue contracted the douche directly telling him not to euthanize and that they would happily take the pup

6 years ago | Likes 393 Dislikes 0

Going through the FB comments, this guy is a fucking piece of shit

6 years ago | Likes 228 Dislikes 0

Was the post removed? I clicked OP's link & it was gone.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Thanks buttsniffer! :P

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Holy shit, I went to high school with this guy. He was a douche nozzle back then as well and I hadn’t thought of him since.

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Same!! Hello fellow Raider!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Updooting to potentially save a life +1

6 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 2

Seriously? You're gonna call this guy awesome?! Shelters are empty right now, but he'd rather put him down? This guy is less than shit.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Awesome as in sarcastic awesome really he's a prised asshole

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oooh, thanks! I totally missed the sarcasm font.

Dude is a scam, hope he chokes on his dew while wearing that trilby. 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

People have this disconnect with c/d's. It lives it live, thinks, breathe, feels. Ask a neighbour or family.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

What’s “c/d’s”?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think "cats and dogs"

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ahh, that fits. Thanks!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PJ is asshoe

6 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

Definitely ain't following proto

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck, I didn't even notice his name at first, and was like "Me?!".

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Why put him down though?

6 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

What's it cost to drop off at a shelter? $50? There have been times in my life when if I $5, I would have spent it on gas or food.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Putting a dog down isn't free either. If he can afford to put him down, he can afford to surrender him.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Depends on if he lives in the country. Not defending. Just stating.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Extreme callous indifference and laziness can make people absolute monsters.

6 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

Sounds like he wants to sell the dog, rather than give him away.

6 years ago | Likes 856 Dislikes 1

Georgia shelters are chronically over capacity. It is very likely this guy really cannot find anywhere to take this dog.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

It is also a breed that are on a lot of HOA's/Apartment complex's banned list making shelters even less likely to take it.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

From what I heard on the local news, pet adoptions are up. That post is all kinds of shady.

6 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 0

This sounds like a scam where several kind hearted people pay and the dog doesn't exist. Seen it here before

6 years ago | Likes 315 Dislikes 0

The scam is often run by the dogs themselves, they take the money and buy bacon. (I wanted the story to be funnier & have a good ending.)

6 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's a bitey dog? If he keeps posting and no one's sharing maybe they know the rest of the story?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

He sounds like a good buy

6 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

I agree, but if the owner is trying grab as much money as possible, it’s gonna be hard to save the pup

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

It was a pun on a typo in the original post.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I like you

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A friendly husky at a shelter will get adopted quickly. At minimum the shelter will find a husky rescue to take him

6 years ago | Likes 225 Dislikes 0

What if its not that friendly? or hes a ass who bought a high energy dog in a 800 sq ft apt. People do stupid shit like that.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Adopted possibly but kept? They have a pretty high return rate. Pretty sure it’s the same in the states

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why the high return rate? We love our husky! 4 years and she’s just like one of the family. I could never imagine giving up the dog.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People ought to check their benefits at work. I have pet insurance for her. Also, their personalities are a problem? Not for us it isn’t.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She’s a sass-mouth and we love her sass-mouth

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

best route IMO would be a husky rescue organization. Many have thorough adoption screeners to make sure the home is right for the pup.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

true, but some shelters will go the extra mile for certain breeds they know are often returned because of their personality traits. one of

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the shelters my mom got her red heeler from, grilled us for HOURS spread out over a week wanting to know if we knew about the beed, what

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they were bred for, their energy levels, their stubbornness, if we've had working dogs in our family in the past, what breeds, how did we

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So many people are fostering and adopting now that shelters near us are taking waiting lists.

6 years ago | Likes 358 Dislikes 0

I literally adopted a cat in Marietta on Tuesday at a shelter. They were accepting appointments and were booked all day. I doubt he can’t

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just looked up the shelter nearly all the dogs are pit bull mixes. It's pretty full.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately a lot will be neglected when work and school resume, bad choice for many, short sightedness

6 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 5

Fostering and adoption are different things. Lots of animals were fostered, and a whole lot of them will be adopted after this!

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Or-they currently have the time to train a new pet and are taking advantage of that. I work full time, and manage to give my dog a good life

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Some people will keep the pets, unfortunately it's likely a lot will be returned. Same as after Christmas. Shelter I volunteered at called 1

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If that’s the case, as long as adequate care was provided-I’d consider that a successful foster.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, if it was set up as a foster in the first place it would be ideal. Staff could plan for it. Unfortunately it's usually pets purchased 1

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It spring fever. Get a puppy as a xmas gift, by spring your sick of it. Happens every year. This is going to be worse. 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

im local, i got this yall

6 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 3

People who are also local are saying it's a scam, please be careful!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You’re a hero

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Aww!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’ll take him

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you don’t, I do!

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

pics or it didn't happen! Get that pupper!

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Please keep us posted!!!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes please keep us updated. I would consider adopting this dog but I live in Canada.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

He took the post down it appears. Link worked earlier.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Holy shit I’m friends with this dude (on fb). I was appalled when I saw his post. He’s always overdramatic like this.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Tell that fucker to stop using dogs in this manner. He is a dick

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Tell that fucker people want the dog

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No one was gonna let anything happen to the dog. Everyone was giving him hell. I would have even taken him in before it got any further.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Update! He just posted he found a family who wants to adopt Apollo.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Edit.. found a shelter* that will take him

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He should be placed on a ban list that he can't adopt any pets and should he take them to the vet they make him surrender any pets he has

6 years ago | Likes 405 Dislikes 4

Ah, the Gatekeepers arrive at last.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

You have no idea for sure if he's a bad person or not. Yet you're willing to impose punishment on him?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 44

You need to look at his pics on fb. This is obviously not his first time doing this, seems like easily one a year. Yes. He is a bad person

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because the Facebook user looks like an entitled douche. There, I said it.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If you give up your dog, you're probably a bad person. If you kill your dog when it's not terminal, you're definitely a bad person.

6 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

There are several legit reasons a person would give up a dog. Failing health, no money to properly care for it, forced to live somewhere

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That won't accept pets (like, you have to move for whatever reason and ate unable to find a place on short notice that takes pets), moving

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Overseas, have a kid who is allergic, etc. But putting it down is wrong.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think there’s acceptable situations to give up a pet, like if you legit can’t afford them and give them the life they need and deserve

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I mean, he's threatening to put a dog down rather than looking into ways to help get it adopted, so....

6 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Because he knows the dog will just end up sitting in a shelter and possibly NEVER get adopted? What's more humane? You're STILL assuming.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 39

PJ is that you?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Husky is a breed that is generally very wanted, so they don't stay in shelters very long. The guy is just trying to scam for money.

6 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Its obvious this guy is trying to make money off selling the dog or scam people. Also, living in a shelter is better than being dead.

6 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

Shelter is more humane

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I volunteered in shelters for years. A husky will be adopted next day, even now.
