NC just elected their first Jewish Governor, which I think is pretty cool. And he beat out Robinson, who is a self-proclaimed “black Nazi”.

Fuck Nazis.

Dog tax

We are so weird here in nc we seem to love fem governors after mcoy got voted out but we can't seem to vote dem on the national level it's always seems like we are 20% under Republicans every election

I love your doggo

I do not understand somebody voting for Stein, which I did, and *also* voting for Trump (which I certainly fucking did not). How confused do you have to be?

I want to play Starfield with your dog.

Read it as "I want to play Starfield with your dong."

Is that dog going to beat me up? It looks like that dog is going to beat me up.

He could probably take out your ankles

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah they're probably going to arrest every elected democrat after Trump comes to power under his unlimited immunity and replace them with loyal Republican stooges. So it was nice while it lasted. Fuck Nazi's though.

Ahhhh starfield. I just go play now

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m replaying so I can play the DLC!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm just glad the black nazi lost.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Okay but is he Jewish or is he a Zionist Jew? The former is fine, the latter is a nazi.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I have friends and family are Jewish. Either religiously, culturally, and/or racially. They are all very critical of Israel and do not support what is going on. Yes, there is a difference between being Jewish and being a Zionist.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imagine if he was a Muslim instead of a Jew. Would you still have made a similar comment, or is the blatant racism obvious to you then?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

1) Judaism is a religion, not a race. 2) The fact that you think that is a fair comparison is, itself, racist. 3) Eat pork, asshole

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yet Harris didnt win NC... explain that one

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Right? I need someone to help me make sense of it. Maybe there's a large enough group that just votes for "the white guy" ??

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Robinson was an embarrassment to most republicans. Also, you have to remember: people are still very racist. I can see why she still didn’t get NC.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he's Jewish? oh boy. wonder if he'll work for merica or nazi israel.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I have friends and family who are Jewish. Either religiously, culturally, and/or racially. They are extremely critical of Israel and do not support what is going on. Many Jewish people are critical of what’s going on.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The only good news for the night.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You do realise the jews are the nazis now right . They are literally killing babies over in palestine as you type. Being a jew does not mean you are not a nazi. Does he support israeli bombardment of palestine ? If yes, he is a nazi sympathiser.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Israel is who is the Nazi. Not most everyday Jewish people. I have friends and family who are Jewish. Either religiously, culturally, and/or racially. All of them are extremely critical of Israel and do not support what they are doing. I am sickened by what Israel is doing. My Jewish FIL, who is extremely liberal, personally knows Stein and has vouched for him.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good to hear and you are correct. I should have said "the jews in israel are the nazis today" . The language i used was a generalization and I typically hate it when other people do that.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good on you for owning up to that!

The wisest people i have ever known could always easily admit to their own mistakes.

As an NC resident who voted blue across the board - I hope he can shield us somewhat

1 year ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

He can a liiiitle now that the nc house is not veto proof.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

he can't. he'll be a target, too.

Me too :|

Remember nobody voted against Nazis, they voted against a guy who had sex with trans people. They were fully on board with the Presidentially backed nazi candidate until his sex life became public.

Louder for the people in the back.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yet still leaning towards Trump. Odd.

1 year ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 2

I wonder if it could be as simple as a significant number of Republicans only voting for Trump, and not bothering or caring to fill out the rest of the ballot.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NC has a long history of vote splitting.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Easy to understand-the average citizen of NC only has trouble with unethical behavior when it's black folks, not white folks.

1 year ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 2

I'm from NC, its like many other places. Urban areas and college towns lean dem, but there's a whole lot of rural NC. Most of them will vote directly against their own interests and are happy to tell you about it.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Which is why they simultaneously voted for a Jewish governor and Trump for president. (That would be the point. Not that both parties aren't there. It's that at least a sizeable number of people are voting both ways.)

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sure, I don't pretend to know what goes on in the mind of a Trump voter. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't understand the rest of the ballot or simply left it blank. Just adding some context.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dem votes usually come in later/take longer to count. Give it time.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

AP called it for Trump already. https://apnews.com/live/trump-harris-election-updates-11-5-2024

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The title on the link you just posted literally says the opposite.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Scroll down. The link appears to be to a live page. What it says now isn't what it showed when I linked it. But it still shows NC is called for Trump. He's up about 4% with 96% of the vote in. Can't dispute that mathematically.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well the information I'm seeing on the page doesn't say that. Still saying that key races are yet to be called. I don't know what you're seeing on your side.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Even with that taken into account, it still is looking like Trump will take it. I hope not though

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It took 5 days to get to the final count last time. It was just as close then. Compare 2024 to 2020 with this map - They need to finish counting. https://www.aljazeera.com/us-election-2024/results/

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

3 point lead to Trump with more than 98% of the NC vote counted. Harris better have a fuck ton of votes counted and very few for Trump in that last 2%.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's just for NC though. I don't see her flipping that one, but anything's possible I guess.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do hope you're right though

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but the numbers are much closer to the 2016 election right now than the 2020. NYT has a pretty good predictor- https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/11/05/us/elections/results-president-forecast-needle.html

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*the numbers currently are closer to how they were this time in the 2016 election (to clarify)

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shame so much of the rest of the nation loves Nazis like orange Hitler.

North Carolina elected Trump!!!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Including NC lol

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

+1

Yeah, I was hopeful when I saw Gov went Dem and then disappointed that the state still went with Trump

Makes me worried that it’s all about inflation and Harris didn’t do a good enough job on the economy

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah because Harris was soooo totally in charge of creating inflation smh. I'm still hopeful, but have a 5th of whiskey ready....ok maybe a bit less than a 5th....this shit is stressful af!

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

My comment was poorly written.

I was intending to criticize Harris that she didn’t do enough on the economy / inflation on the campaign trail (at least the debates), but it could be taken as a critique that they didn’t do enough policy wise. I should’ve been more clear.

Trump hit both Harris & Biden in the debates w/ inflation, and neither responded with how it is global inflation and how US was doing better vs other nations thanks to Biden / Harris admin

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Inflation was worldwide AND the US recovered from it faster than most of the rest of the world with Biden at the helm...but they simply don't want to be confused with facts.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yep. And both Harris and Biden didn’t mention that inflation was global in the debates. It was easy for Trump to hit them on inflation and I yelled at my TV when I thought they responded poorly.

-

My comment was poorly written and could be taken she didn’t do enough policy, while I intended it to be that she didn’t do enough explaining in her campaign, so my mistake in being unclear.
