Rescued this beautiful stray cat with a broken leg :'(

This is Marilyn, a stray cat I found a couple of weeks ago. I found her limping and crying but she was sweet, so I took her in. I was going to keep her overnight and take her to a no kill shelter the next day, buuuuut this lil pussycat was too damn sweet.

After only a few hours, she was snuggled up next the me. I'M NOT EVEN A CAT PERSON but this cat was softening my hard little dog loving heart so I decided to keep her and take her to the vet asap.

Here she is looking all fly at the vet, she's such a good girl. The vet came in and felt her leg, said it's probably only a fracture, but I can x-ray if I want. Fuck it, I don't need money to eat food, do the damn X-ray.

HOLY. SHIT.

Her leg is broken in two places (cringe). She's only about two years old... They think she was either hit by a car or abused by her previous owners. This vet told me that they want to amputate, but some of my friends (who are in vet school or something??? Internet vets????? IDK) have told me that this may not be necessary. They could reset it? I don't know anything about these types of things.

I have a consultation with another vet on Monday and it's 162 dollars. I'm not sure how much the surgery will be yet, but it has to be soon. The first vet quoted around 600 dollars but I haven't heard very good things about them and momma wants the best for her lil kitty. This vet I'm going to see was recommended to me by the vet my parents have been going to with their animals for 15 years. I'm stressing the hell out because I can barely afford myself, let alone a little soul like this.

You can kind of see where she's not putting weight on it. Poor kitty. She's such a doll. Snuggles with me every night, follows me around, loooovee her. 

I did set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for her medical bills, so if you want that information, just private message me and I'll send it to you. It feels silly as hell to create one for a cat, I just don't know what to do. I have limited time and limited monies. I don't want this post to be a sad little sob story, I just need encouragement. I'm pregnant and emotional and you guys always make me feel better.

I just wanted to post this to my favorite community for thoughts, prayers, good vibes or whatever you're into. She needs it, I need it. I'm so broke right now it's not even funny, but I want to help her as much as I can. If you guys have any advice to offer, I'M ALL EARS!!
