Her owner was ill for a long time and eventually died. She was apparently chained up for a large portion of her life
I lost a Rottie in February to cancer and he left a large hole in my life.
Lola will be a challenge as she’s had 6-7 years of bad upbringing but I can’t wait to begin changing her life
This is where she was found, chained up, no exercise and no love
Her neck was severely damaged by being chained 24/7
She looks like a good girl.
The application was accepted but it’s not quite a done deal. I’m going to see her next Saturday.
Apparently she’s super friendly with people but a bit nervous around dogs. Luckily I have a dog walking group ready to help re-socialise her.
Wish me luck.
FP Edit: I’d just to thank everyone for all the positivity I have received. It’s going to be a long week waiting for Saturday. I’ll do my best to keep you all in the loop.
Update: I have signed the papers this morning and paid the fee. Lola is officially coming to live with me....I have to wait until next Saturday though! I’ll make a new post on the day she is delivered to her new forever home!

She’s recently had an operation and the stomach drain removes unwanted fluid and reduces inflammation. It’s very temporary.

After a variety of surgeries, surgeons will put temporary tubes inside the incision so that the wound can drain excess fluid easily.

One of my old dogs was a rescue who was abandoned leashed to the door of a local animal shelter. He had scarring on his neck. :(

The fur regrew white or not at all in some places. He had aggression issues, but being cared for by someone who did dog sports helped.

Training and positive attention. He was mostly scared of people he didn't know, especially men. His first year must have sucked.
