One of the conservation workers I’m with had a dog who watches all the baby turtles and makes sure they get into the water safely. It’s the cutest damn thing. Puppy keeps all the crabs and birds from picking them off during a nest irruption.

FP edit: glad you guys love the baby turtles! PM me marine bio questions and I’ll try to answer. or send anything entertaining my way

As cute as it is, this isn't exactly science and tech

Only 1 of each... Pupper and Turtle. Sounds like a kids book title.

Surprised there aren't any comments about the high video quality.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would not turn away from a longer video (hint hint)

I've also done this for Tortollan seekers rep and you don't see me making posts about it!

I keep watching this, waiting for the little guy to actually make it into the water. Disappointed.

... so what you're saying is, if I start the quest and alt-tab out, eventually it'll complete by itself.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

seems that way. i was tabbed out playing path of exile :V

How do we save the sea turtles? Dogs. MORE DOGS

7 years ago | Likes 214 Dislikes 0

My dog would have ate it. He’s an undisciplined butthole and he hates nature.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We need more sea dogs!

Wouldn’t this lower genetic fitness in the end?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Taking them to the water would. Preventing predators from picking off random ones? Probably not.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes it would, because it would enable those that cannot avoid predators to survive.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

...No baby turtles can avoid predators. That's not how crawling around at 0.1 mph works.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You do realize that a) baby turtles aren't THAT slow and b) speed isn't the only way of avoiding predators?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are videos of baby sea turtles that can just barely break out of a crab's claws, for example
