8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's simple- I see a xenos, I BLAM it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very nice

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's some beautifully painted heresy you got there. Sure would be a shame if someone PURGED THE XENOS SCUM

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow Tyranids have changed since I used to play. That (what I assume is a) Carnifex looks way better!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3x Carnifex in #4 second to the right from the winged dude. The big one in #5 is a Tyranofex

40k on the front page? +1 for you... damn Xenos

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All I saw was "Tyranid Scheme".

8 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

It's not?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Rhymes with "pyramid scheme". 'Twas a pun.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a reverse punnel system

That whole film is basically Imperial Guard vs Tyranids. Fun fact: The Mobile Infantry in the novel were on par with the Adeptus Astartes.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

THIESE HERETICS BE WORSHIPPING SOME HERESY

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice work, mate. The Great Devourer would be very pleased.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you don't have more than 30 gaunts you're not playing tyrannids

Nidzilla looks even more fun with 8e, although the standard swarmy tactics got stronger with the rumored blast and flamer nerfs.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn fine looking army of space nopes

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks, this post prompted me to order another WH40K book, with Tyranids this time.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Something to do with the Scythes of the Emperor?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Ultramarine Omnibus, I'm told there are Tyranids in there among other things.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are indeed. Nobody writes the Ultramarines quite as well as Graham McNeill

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Any chance of some photos out of the sunlight? Makes it hard to make out details

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll get some :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

how the hell do people find the time to do this kinda shit? christ i can barely fit in time to work out at the gym.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

and here you are with all this free time to paint toys!

Some people do different things.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Always upvote for no reason in particular...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would love to get into warhammer. But I'd really need someone who could walk me through it one on one.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The new edition is just around the corner (17th ) it's gonna be awsome, and waaaay more simplified& easy to start :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Find a local hobby shop, people are happy to help!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ugh, human interaction. What do you think I am, a philistine?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a lot of money

8 years ago | Likes 197 Dislikes 2

For little plastic

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like more money than Bill gates ever earned money

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Eh, like $550 Freedom Bucks + around $100 in paints. The big suck is the time to assemble and paint

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I was just thinking "that's a small nid army"..

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

A mate bought a nid army off CL and when he was setting his list up he had 200 points to spare. 40 fucking hormies for 200pts.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I have a mate who fields "swarms" of carni's. And here's me just drowning them in cultists..

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Genestealers cult or chaos? I'd love to face off against a true swarming list tho, seems fun. Esp with pieplates although that's going away

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!? Praise be to Lorgar.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Its not very expensive if you paint one kit before buying the next.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

money doesn't not work that way... The price is the same no matter how you purchase them. I think you mean easier to budget.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yes, but my point is don't by an army all at once and it is a much more manageable hobby.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

also "money doesnt not work that way"....... so youre saying that it DOES work that way? :p

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Theres a big difference between dropping $1500 in a single day and spending $1500 over 1.5 years. Its called being financially responsible

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

those look amazing man, i envy your skills. Any tips for a new starter?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The start collecting packs are really good value , especially on eBay :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not OP, but: 1) Thin your paints. 2) Better 2-3 thin coats than one thick one 3) Keep it simple, but neat 4) not too much paint on the brush

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

when you say thin your paints...what is your technique?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dry pallette: one or two brushloads of paint, dip the brush with the last load of paint in water, eyeballed. You're looking at a consistency

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that flows well off the brush, basically a milk-like thickness. I preach the gospel of wet pallettes, though: flat container (eg tupperware)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

with 1-2 layers of kitchen tissue, water, baking parchment on top, mix/thin paint atop. Since the paint pulls water through the parchment

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for amasing work. Needs more necrons though. You excited for 8th edition? https://imgur.com/kHGudSw.gif

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have crons, fully painted, will post after work :p

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice, nice. Have you seen their changes in 8th ed? They somehow became even MORE tanky.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yess just went to the pre release today, very exited !!!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice. I've preordered the xeonos 1 book (eldar and necrons) and I'm buying the rules with a friend. Good Luck!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dat Monolith tho.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've been saving up for a monolith for a while, now I REALLY want one. Shame necron infantry can only move 5" now though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Night Scythes, Monolith for porting them in. Otherwise, big-ass units and advance them with char support. 'Crons can take the extra turn.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well look at this guy. He can afford a cool army, while I'm still saving up for my space marine army.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Betrayal at Calth set is your friend, $150 bucks, 2 Hq, 3x Troops, a dread and a 5x Term squad.. woop!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the advice. I'm going for more of a salamanders army. I could probably get conversion stuff for it though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you get this, it doubles the cost, but gets all those tasty Salamander bits https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Salamanders-Task-Force

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Add this: https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Cataphractii-Special-Weapons-Set and some Contemptor weps and you're all set.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well.. the Betrayal at Calth set is basically neutral, they're still grey plastic, just Mark IV and Cataphracatii terms / Contemptor

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well that's your problem in the first place. Playing Space Marines.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Well I'm definitely not playing tau, I'm also not a fan of nids or orks. I'd play imperial guard but they are expensive too.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Check Craigslist or sites like Bartertown. You can get some good deals.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do. In my area the problem is either no one sells or plays with the whole Craigslist thing. EBay is just hard to trust sometimes.
