It may not be making much directly, but make no mistake we depend on our forests economically. Forests are critical for regulating our water supply among other things. You lose forests you tend to get massive runoff and flooding, the aquifers drain, and agriculture destabalizes. BUt thats at least two levels of understanding past what the rotten cheeto can understand
