I’m making a board game so you can show off your cool stuff to your friends. It’s not fair that when you grow up show and tell doesn’t happen anymore.
I want show off my rocks.
Some glow in the dark!
Some are over 40 million years old!
Anyway the game is a voting game where you describe items from people’s collections and with silly cards. However I got rid of the judge mechanic and made it so everyone votes and earns points each round.
My autistic ass is not good at figuring out what will make someone laugh and I never get good cards. So I changed the mechanics.
I’m super excited to be offering tons of cool stuff as rewards, like shiny trinkets! Going through all the shiny things and organizing them has been my happy place when I’ve run out of spoons.
Followed closely by designing the explicit expansion cards. Really proud of the banana hammock.
I’m also super excited to be collecting photos of people’s pets… I mean it’s under the guise of Selling the opportunity to get your pet on a token that everyone will use. But I still get tons of cute pictures of people‘s pets.
Marketing the game however, is not fun. I don’t understand it. I am super anxious, just posting this on Imgur. I do not understand what makes a post engaging. I just wanna make fun games and post art.
Anyway that’s my game, it’s coming to Kickstarter next month (hopefully).
Cat tax. My little saboteur. Taking photos for the game has been interesting.

Unless you collect in Hawaii or Iceland, all your rocks are more than 40 million years old.

Well, I mean some of the fossils are newer, but my oldest find in that photo is actually at least 65 million years old. Belemnites man. Also some of my quartzite is relatively new, because quartzite in my area is only slightly older than 1 million years old. …I’m literally making this game so I can info dump on my friends like this and not random strangers on the internet. Do not get me started.

Letterpress drawers used to be the rave in the 70's. I hardly saw any home without one hanging on the wall.

Yeah, that’s what is used for the box, it was a lot of fun to lay out.

My wife just picked one up a month ago. It's sitting on the floor, empty. I'll send her that picture.
