It absolutely gets better, but this was still during the nineties so they hadn't really hit the 'longer plots' stage that early.

SG-1 was only on netflix as recently as December, but Atlantis was on Prime.

Stargate got pulled about a month or two ago, the rumour was it was going to be brought back but under an MGM+ add-on channel in Prime.
