Modern human problems

Don't even need that for Amazon

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ApplePay on websites means you don’t even have to enter your shipping information

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If they don't take paypal, I'm out.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Paypal Instant Checkout ftw

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what is this , (that horrible place) (Archer reference) ?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mechanical genius, multimillionaire boss has no idea how to buy stuff online, so, he texts me links.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s why I use citi random card generator app on pc, mind you not for the security it provides.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is why I memorize my card info.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I literally bought a Gameboy game online so this holds up.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got dashlane password keeper. Made things way easier.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Use paypal

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

Wait... There are still people that don't use a password manager to manage this?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

LastPass

PayPal

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most websites save it for you now

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a struggle ?

7 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 4

Last 4 digits of your card number, the 3 digit security code, name an animal beginning with G and the year the Magna carta was signed

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that's 4 things. made of 3 or 4 other things. 1215. grash ganda.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm actually surprised at the comments. I know imgur is lazy, but people saying "use paypal" cause they can't walk 5 feet to get their card

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well, if PayPal is an option for that purchase then it’s more efficient than entering card info...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I once downloaded an app so I didn't have to move to get the remote from the other chair...

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I downloaded the Xbox app so I wouldn’t have to get off couch to get controller and turn it back on to resume playing Netflix

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To be fair, it only takes one weak link website holding onto your credit card info and suddenly all of your assets are stolen. If I walked

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

down the street, someone could pick my pocket and maybe have 6 hours before I was at the bank, calling for a freeze on my card. Now

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

pickpockets have gone global, and they can steal your card without it ever leaving your pocket. And that is whats bullshit.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Y'all can just send me y'all's card info for when you need it. Call me and I got you. ???

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

This man living in 2039 while we out here living in 2019!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

???? Hey. Can't blame a fella for trying.

7 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Is it weird I much prefer going to store to buy stuff?

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Not weird, I think it’s weird when people buy clothes, shoes, and glasses online. You have to try them on

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And have to carry it back? Ya freak

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I’m the same I like to have the purchase right away. My wife exclusively shops online

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Are you me?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same, if I want something, I want it NOW! I only buy things online if I can’t buy it around my city, or if it’s significantly cheaper!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's why i love websites who uses PayPal

7 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 6

If it don't use PayPal I kind of give up buying

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Same. Get up and get my card? I don’t need this shirt.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I memorized my card. More protection from Visa than PayPal, like price drop guarantee and extended warranty

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would, but Amazon is damn practical.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My SO uses Amazon way too much. You need to shop around. Amazon ain't always the cheapest option.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't say I use only Amazon, I said I use it's practical enough to use it even if they don't take Paypal.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

memorize your card info

7 years ago | Likes 840 Dislikes 10

Get a password keeper!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Happened accidentally after typing it in a dozen times or so. I'd just start typing and then realize I hadn't gone to go get my wallet

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I memorized my card info because of how often I ordered pizza online. I’m not ashamed of that either

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I can’t even memorize the 3 digit code on the back

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Probably the most impressive thing I've done out of pure laziness

7 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

I’ve memorized my 16 digit WiFi password because I was tired of getting up to show guests what it was

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

^ Lookit Einstein here

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bad idea. If you’re into sleep texting like me especially. Why? Well, I woke up to find I spent $100+ online in my sleep. Not cool me...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is such a bad idea. my laziness is the only thing standing between me and crippling credit card debt...

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I would consider adding discipline lol

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll file it under consideration.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I often also need a randomly selected 6-digit number out of 200 of them printed on a card that my bank sends me.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did! And then the bastards canceled that card and sent me a new one!!! How am I supposed to remember another card number now?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm not Einstein

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's the only thing I remember, basic math? Nah, but you bet your ass I'm gonna be buying this new whathaveit off of amazon.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

also really helpful if you ever have your card lost/stolen and you need to fly home, get a hotel room, get dinner etc.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it a good or a bad thing that you've memorised your card info because of the usage?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m going with good. Cause I’ve memorized mine from overuse.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My phone got that shit memorized

7 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 3

All you need is those three numbers

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Now, so does the NSA

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They can have my $0.57

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

When they need money they can just blackmail congressmen. It's your purchase history they need for profiling...reasons.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What security measures does your country have?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Differs per bank, but in most cases you need to use your card in a separate 2factor device.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That sounds way worse, just because of the hassle. Regular 2factor could work tho

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Security is hassle. It is just a matter of up to which point does one consider it worth it. In the case of bank account I'd say very far.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel like the 3-4 digit code unique to each card is a pretty good measure. I would hate to have to also rely on a mobile device.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also I use pay pal for everything online. And I use a credit card vs debit. So I'm double covered for fraudulent charges.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've always preferred to prevent the disease, over fixing the symptoms.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can teach you how to do that, just give me your name, card number, expiration, and the three number code form the back

7 years ago | Likes 337 Dislikes 2

That would require me to go get my wallet and I don't feel like it!

7 years ago | Likes 155 Dislikes 0

3799 8675 3091 9088 exp: 4/20 CCV: 069

7 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 1

Any card starting with 3 is Amex, which has one less digit in the main line and one additional in the CCV. Nice try ;). Blaze it. Nice.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I'll be in touch with a guide on how to memorise.

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Thanks for your help!

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Must be Jenny's credit card info.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jenny of oldstones?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whenever I see a card online, I always think "that random number could be some poors saps actual info"

7 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 1

I wanna be that dude if his expirary date is 420 and his CCV number is 69.

7 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

I also snuck 8675 309 in there

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

That's not a valid number. You didn't even try! Visa always starts with a 4, MC with 5, and Discover with a 6.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yea and it says 4/20 69 captain smarts

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh and almost all the rest aren't 16 digits.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The first 6 identifies as American Express

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Amex starts with a 3...

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Amex is 15 digits

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PayPal is good for this because it remembers my login. :P That wallet 2 arms reaches away can stay there!

7 years ago | Likes 218 Dislikes 6

How can you be two arm reaches away? Do you keep a severed arm around for these situations?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate Paypal and having to pay them for basically nothing

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

It isn't "nothing", it's an escrow, a disinterested 3rd party to make sure both sides get what was agreed upon, for a fee. Like home buying

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is only useful for risky transactions, otherwise using a regular card is much cheaper.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Buying something sight unseen from an internet stranger qualifies as risky in my opinion. Seller pays the fees, if they aren't willing (1)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2) then that's a red flag.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lots of reasons to not trust Paypal, though. Be cautious.

7 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 31

I've been using PayPal for many years with no problems.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Based on what? Their servers have *never* been breached. Possibly safer than your financial institution.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Please elaborate.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Should I trust it less than Facebook? Thanks for the random warning. ⚠️?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like to have one spending account where I only move money into it to buy stuff, while using a bank app to quickly move money when I do.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you trust Facebook with your money?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I trust paypal as much, if not more, than my bank. They are corrupt as fuck. Demonstrably.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

?

7 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

In a similar vein, Patreon is also a private business that can remove you from their platform, and have admitted they don't necessarily /1

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Remove people based on their TOS; those that have been removed in this way were given zero notice about the arbitrary rules presumably /2

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because they are de facto rules that aren't written anywhere. PayPal has also denied its services to other platforms for hosting people /3
