Kinda want these people to test their theory with this method. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIV/AIDS_denialism

Then there was https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werner_Forssmann Werner Forssmann, who in 1929 decided to do the first heart cath on himself.

A small price to pay for salvation
BloodCri
There is so much to this story. More doctors thought that bacteria caused it but suggesting it was taboo and would get you made fun of.
Ulcer treatment before then was expensive and usually involved surgery. By discovering this he saved people the cost and pain of going
through an invasive process to remove an otherwise easily treatable condition. A true hero.
PeriodQueen
Whoa there skippy. That’s a bit dark for me.
TheKingRamen
Thanks to those fuckers I had ulcers the size of half dollars
sososleepy
Been there. No fun. 2/10 would not recommend
iNeverCouldGetTheHangOfThursdays
There are a couple of antidotes and treatments found in that exact way. Imagine how frustrated you need to be to poison yourself for science
Btint11
Couldn't he have just treated people with ulcers using antibiotics to see if it would work?
FuckGlitter
I swear when anyone comes in with ulcers my docs always throw that test in with the first bunch too :) horrid antibiotics for it tho

That's small price for salvation!!

I have a very strange coworker who is treating her H. Pylori like it's a continuing/permanent condition, not something to be killed via meds
The thing is, she mentioned drinking too much coffee and "setting off her H Pylori" and I was like.. huh. I remembered the Nobel.
So now I'm like, do I tell her it can be killed via aggressive pharmaceuticals and it should be for stomach cancer reasons? Or?
WalterJrsFatC0ck

TheAziz
Yeah it totally looked like that right after he terrorized Eitri to made the gauntlet.
GerberLegalTeam
He already had the gauntlet sitting around in this scene.
FunnyAmplifier
I think there's a significant time gap between thanos forcing the dwarves to make the gauntlet. and this scene here, he probably (1/2)
had it stored while he was waiting for the stones from ronan/gamora/collector etc. but got sick of waiting and went for them himself (2/2)
aromaticfable
It was only a week or two prior. Eitri mentions calling Asgard for aid and receiving no response (in lieu of it being destroyed by Surtr)
removekarling
Could that have been because it was ruled by Loki
RamAssScratcher
Also when the bifrost was destroyed

Testing on other humans. Drinking bleach isn’t illegal, making making others do it is
ThePunchline
Actually suicide is illegal so you could argue that drinking bleach is illegal
OutisNobody
To judge - I was trying to bleach my asshole from end to end.
Nie200
I think it's only illegal specifically so police can do something if they catch you in the act
True. Also so you can be admitted for psychiatric help
LadiesInboxMeYourInsecurities
Suicide being illegal is so stupidly hilarious.
RatKingCerf
It's to give police the authority to enter your premises if they believe you're doing something illegal so they can save you legally
So... how exactly would the police know to come?
