Just need to vent
I’ve been at this job for 10 months. I shouldn’t be complaining, right? I’m a front end courtesy clerk that bags people’s groceries, exchanges propane, some cleaning, and the worst of it all: collecting carts. My supervisors sends us out in 98° weather with 80% humidity and expects us to bring in cart lines of 8-15 carts each time. For 45 minutes. As a minimum. I don’t get support from management when I run into VERY angry and nonsensical Karens, I get warned for being 15 minutes late when my dismisses by 4:05 and the bus leaves by 4:40, getting me home at 5; which is the time my shift starts, and it’s a 10 minute minimum drive there without traffic.
So in the survey, I complained about the management, about how they don’t give me a good work/life balance, about my scheduling manager, and about how I don’t get paid shit for the amount of physical labor this job takes. They treat us like we’re at the bottom of it all but three of my coworkers are quitting and they’ve already got “We’re Hiring” fliers put out. I don’t have hope for this company if they won’t get their heads out of their asses and treat their employees right.

Back in my day they said no more than 6 carts at a time for safety reasons. Of course we'd tag team a train of 25 or more.
