Can one be unhinged if they were never meant to be hinged in the first place? He’s my wildest and sweetest thing. He’s been extra clingy and snuggly this past week. I can’t tell if it’s because I went away this past weekend (the first time I’ve left him since we moved), or he’s just in an extra cuddly mood. Either way, this dingus is so full of love.
I’ve been in a rough space for a while. I had a sort of intense emotional moment yesterday. I looked down to find his little face just looking up with love and concern and I sat on the floor with him. He just melted into my lap and wanted to be held. We all just need to be held these days.

Yeah you can tell in all your content of him he's a big luv bug at the best of times. He probably does know your going through a rough spot and just wants to help you the only way he knows how. By being there for you.
Like i've said before, if he could he'd move mountains for you.

It sounds like your boy is emotionally connected to you. My klinger will pop out from the hallway and come in, plop his but on the ground and stare at me intensely if I stare at my computer screen with even the slightest furled eyebrow line. I can't tell if I'm emitting sound, shooting off pheromones or there's something more.

I'm starting to think Atlas was sent to you by your soul-dog (Seymour, right?) after you lost him, to watch over you and make sure you live your life accompanied by canine love. He might be imperfect (little poo monster LMAO), but he's still there for you and giving you the companionship you need.
