I feel bad for whatever art restoration specialist has the figure out your technique 80 years from now when someone accidentally drops this stunning painting, puts a hole in it, and now someone has to find a way to repair it and have it look authentic

Can anyone tell I watch Baumgartner too much?

She knows it will get more likes if she's in it, and it works...

Beautiful work!!! There are heavy metals and nasty chemicals in some paints, especially oils. Probably a good idea to wear gloves if you’re going to use this technique for a while.

Holy shit dude. I mean HOLY SHIT. About to get my first set of oil paints… gonna try on Bob Ross’s style for a bit and see how it fits… I hope one day to see in my own work the endless beauty and depth I see in yours!

Very beautiful! And the painting is also very nice.

Nice work. This makes me wonder OP, as an artist how does the idea of people making A.I. art using text prompts, and getting elaborate results much like this sit with you? I'm an artist as well, and am curious of your take.

Just be careful using your bare hands with some paint. There are toxins that get absorbed into your skin and that's no bueno!

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Hell, some people still use flake white - which is pure soluable lead. Any on your skin goes into the bloodstream

Wow you even used your hand. I can no longer joke about finger painting like its amateur. I have to reinvent myself because of you.

Every time I use oil paint I have to use my fingers at some point

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Friendly reminder that many oil paints are toxic; painting with your hands is risky unless you choose exactly which pigments you're using.

A lot of Masters work are done with finger painting, It's an easy way to feather

It's called Sfumato. It's a painting technic. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sfumato

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Sfumato has nothing to do with finger painting.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Using your fingers with oil? Not a great long-term strategy, I have seen some bad cases of dermatitis - what are you thinning with?

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Gasoline of course

my hair

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what I was thinking. Not to mention all the cadmiums and chromiums...

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Best practices is to not use your hands for oil. Heavy metal poisoning for artists is a thing and that sure looks like cadmium yellow which is particularly toxic. If you want to use this technique use acrylic.

Next time try using actual paint instead of poop.
