Damn, imgur. OP mislabeled so many things. #2 were training aids (think life vests for beginner swimmers). Then there's like 11 more wrong.
IWouldDoThings
Yeah, they don't make you swim faster. They were supposed to help you not drown.
abacaxi
Well typically you are not going to swim very fast while drowning.

Well, Britain was on the brink of war with Germany, and they were partial to weaponized chlorine gas the last time around....

#9 Those roller skates look pretty interesting. Looks like they were trying to work walking in a normal way

That's the one that got me thinking of these as things you'd get for Christmas and never think of again past that January.

I can't help but wonder if there's actually a drive mechanism, so that when you step down on them it accelerates the rear wheel.
thenerdling
That was my thought too

#13 is the IT from South Park, without the, umm, rear component.

Thank You! Seems people don’t stop to ask how you steer a normal motorcycle, anyway.
MrKestryl
Well because last I checked the front wheel of motorbikes tend to turn, the front half of the tracks on this can't exactly do that...
walterPPK
That only makes it easy to lean the bike - to actually make a turn you keep the handles straight and lean. Weird, but true.

What about getting stabbed
PompatusOfLove
Airs the body.

Many viruses cannot survive in an oxygen rich environment, so stabbing in a few air vents is so super healthy! Until the cancer sets in.

#12 isn't a grenade launcher. It's a gun with a curved barrel that allows for the shooter to shoot without being exposed to gunfire.
Imamax
Was done for tank crews at the eastern front, as certain tanks didn't have machine guns

It is, the grenade slips over the barrel and has a baffle which "catches" the bullet. It uses the impact to launch off if the barrel.

Ah yes this 1/2" wood table will protect me.

If you are not seen it will protect you though.

it was designed for tank use against hordes of soviet infantry, by ze Germans

PeePeeFrictionPleasure
Ooh I have been schooled
myalibi
Yeah it looks nothing like a grenade launcher.
sunyudai
The confusion is - The model of gun also came with an attachable grenade launcher, but the gun pictured does not have it attached.
myalibi
Yeah it didn't look like it. It looks like a suppressor on the end but I don't know anything about antique guns
sunyudai
I just resorted to google...
adriedupoldprune
It has a 30mm rifle grenade launcher on the end of the barrel.
myalibi
I still don't see it. That looks like a suppressor to me
adriedupoldprune
