I just wanted to share my rescue pup with everyone

I started volunteering at a local dog shelter one year ago and I found this boy on my first day. He was 5 weeks old and very sick. He had been dumped in a bin bag along with his 6 siblings. Unfortunately he was the only one who made it...

This was the day I found him. I fell in love with him straight away and brought him home (to meet our 11 other doggos). We foster rescue dogs in Spain and prepare them for a sweet new life in a loving home. I named this pup Oso (Spanish for bear) since his fuzzy fur and black muzzle reminded me of one.

The next day he declined rapidly, we took him to the vets for some tests expecting the worst (there's some nasty doggy viruses out there). Turns out he had coronavirus - a highly infectious virus in dogs and very dangerous for pups. The next week was spent watching him 24/7 and bottle feeding him. This is him after his exhausting trip to the vets.

Luckily we had a super strong boy on our hands! A month later and he was almost fully recovered and a very happy pup! Here's his face when he was caught chewing the new chair.

And this is him now! 1 year old and my best friend! (I know Imgur hates selfies so I blocked my face!) I just wanted to share my boy on here, he's been such a fighter and has brought me so much happiness. Don't forget to always check your local dog rescue or shelter when looking to get a new pet, there's so many lovely animals out there who deserve a second chance and there's a perfect fur baby out there for everyone!
