I got this mad once about tickets. Ed Sheeran. Concert sold out in minutes, and a few minutes after that resellers were already selling them at triple face value. I would rather Chloe have the tickets than assholes just looking to make a buck off of fans.
I like remembering old bands as the crazy young musicians I saw in concert at their height. I do not want to see Depeche Mode or any other past fav as old men. It tarnishes the magic.
I am sorry. Truly. I do have a very strong, neurodivergent imagination. But even I cannot imagine the suffering mentioned by this guy...I mean, what he must have gone through to think himself worthy to be able to gatekeep the entire Oasis fandom so hard that he would be upset that their shows are selling out...just wow. Poor guy.
lol. I remember going to concerts for like $5. Now you need a second mortgage and a fiber modem. The acts used to play 70 venues in a year. Yes, I'm an old man with a bad memory, but things were cheaper and more available.
I remember a skit with a guy singing like ALL the oasis songs with the same basic guitar chords and tempo. An oasis medly that might as well have been one song.
Some bands are actually aware of this though. They will open with the super popular song so that everyone who was there just for that will fuck off. I've seen a crowd half when a band has done this
What an absolute turd - it’s not even like they’re gonna play some obscure B-sides: it’s a cash-grab arena tour, they’ll play the hits and go home. The fictional Chloe from Stockport would have a much better time than this random dickhead who thinks he’s surrounded by fake fans.
As someone who was able to take the time to drive to a record store when I got around to it and then pay like $12.75 to go see Steve Miller Band, I am 0% jealous of today's concert goers. Y'all have fun paying $500 dollars for a ticket if your internet connection is fast enough to beat the scalpers and bots that buy them all in 0.8012 seconds.
I was never a big concert person I always thought it was crazy expensive to watch someone play music but like 20 years ago I feel like bigish bands were under 100 dollars and now they're thousands.
After doing some historical research, my ticket was more like $30-ish. It was July 31, 1992. But yeah, you just walked into the record exchange with about ten hours of minimum wage money and you could see anyone save, like, the Rolling Stones level bands.
The only song I recognize from all the ones listed below are…none. Other than Wonderwall which if that’s as good as it gets…please. Keep them away. Fucking hate that song. It’s not even good. Stay retired. I would rather see a Taylor concert. 🙄 As my son calls all these old bands (so many of “my” 80/90’s head banger bands have had new albums(?) lately it’s nuts. We’re 59+ and still got it!) getting back together…”it’s the ‘we’ve run out of money’ tour”.
You know how many generations have that level of outrage whenever they miss out on rolling stones tickets? Just because a band is from your time doesn't make them any more inherently yours. Put your entitlement back in your pocket, pal.
And how cool is it that a band that a generation loved 20 years ago is still reaching people. That should be celebrated and shared. Get your Google alerts set up, Billy, and stop complaining.
The Rolling Stones. You hear them on the oldies station, classic rock and the modern rock station. probably one of the few bands to achieve that kind of broad audience spectrum.
Feels so wrong to hear them on classic rock stations. Like WTF i remember listening to them in my first car using a shitty Koss portable CD player and a tape adapter.

How dare people *checks notes* want to see a concert.
