This made me think about the rest of my choices in the game after hearing it for the first time.

Makes you wonder if honor and morality are worth it in the end. Is survivability worth any price?

Gif is not mine, props to the owner though for making it.

The silence is your answer.

We all die, and nothing goes with you, you'll be misunderstood if not forgotten. So what holds value to YOU?

Is that you Pilot?

Brothean +1

A pivotal character that answers some of the biggest questions in the franchise, and they cut it out and put him behind a Day 1 DLC paywall.

Why write "props to the owner" when you are not mentioning him/her?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I dunno, I just named him Douchebag Shepard and did whatever felt funniest at the time.

Some may question your right to destroy ten billion people. Those who understand, realise that you have no right to let them live!

Mass effect?

Yes

WHAT GAME @OP

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mass Effect.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It makes me think that Saren was not a bad guy, just wanted people to keep on living instead of complete annihilation of all intelligent lif

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Uh, yes? That's the entire point of Saren's character arc, he was a well meaning guy who got indoctrinated trying to do the right thing.

Let the dead keep their honor.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What game was this again? It sounds like a movie line.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll admit, it didn't make my Shepard any less paragon-y. But I enjoyed his suggestions of tossing everyone out airlocks.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

is this from diablo?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Implying I had honor in the first place

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Their silence is your answer."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which games is this?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Their silence is your answer.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're a wet basket

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We all end up dead in the end. If the destination is the same, then what matters is how you get there. Get there with honor.

As an Archaeologist of death I'm often struck by the unsettling thought that the Earth is a vast floating tomb for 100 billion corpses.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's some heavy shit...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's the most metal job title I've ever heard.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I have actually business cards with 'Archaeologist of Death' printed on them. I don't really hand them out, but they're nice to have.

All hail Xenu

I killed the quarians instead of the Geth and now I feel like an asshole for killing Tali

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You should feel bad for killing Tali, don't feel bad about the Quarians in general -- they were assholes. Geth didnt deserve genocide.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I tried so hard to save her. I literally felt remorse for my actions.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that mini cinematic. :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP is a wet basket

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Even though I know what that means, I like that term for some reason

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Did I miss something? Is wet basket a spin on wet blanket?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's in the urban dictionary.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I went there and it was a reference to wet lady parts, is that what it is? If so I don't really get it...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's like calling someone a pussy, but in a more humorous and less antagonistic way is what I got from it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When a citation is taken out of context. He talks about himself and the rulers of their race, because they wouldn´t let their armies fall back

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The quote doesnt change it's meaning out of context. His race lost the war and is extinct because they held to their values for too long.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And then you reach the end of the game and wonder why anything mattered.

Truth

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I loved the synergy ending. Considering the emphasis on organic v synthetic the whole time, I felt it was the best way to save everyone

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As a huge fan of Mass Effect...fucking gotme

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It matteres. It matters enough that 100+ hours over 3 gane weren't made obsolete by 30 minutes of a crappy ending.

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 3

Last game was shit from Rannoch forward. Second game was meh. They all have their moments, but overall, yeah. Ending did basiclaly kill it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Couldn't agree more! The last game is the culmination of all your choices from the first two. It's not just about the last 30 minutes.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

This is why I'm still excited for Andromeda. The ending left a sour taste in my mouth, but not enough to kill the hype for me.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well yeah. The end goal is always to get the ending where you don't die.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still replay the series in spite of the ending. It's a game that connected to me, in some emotional way I can't explain well.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember sitting through that blatant stat check conversation praying for my teammates to rescue me for once, the disappointment was real.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

2/3 The only thing I wanted from the Mass Effect ending was some http://i.imgur.com/jm7Z4yL because you can't save the galaxy by yourself.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

3/3 The opposite thing happened and I had to sit through it all twice for NG+ because I noped out of the game before the ending finished.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Of course it mattered. It's about the journey, not the destination. A mediocre ending doesn't invalidate a magnificent journey.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I would've liked the journey more if the last third of it wasn't one big preemptive victory lap tying up all the major sub plots.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

In what what is it a preemptive victory lap?. It was the climax to what the previous 2 games had been building up to. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of course its going to tie up major plotlines, that's the point of a final act. If it didn't then the game would be absent of resolution 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They wrote themselves into a corner by giving you enemies you can't directly fight against. There was no main plot, just you going around 1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

2/2 doing the victory lap of fixing everyone's unrelated problems that got established a game ago. Remove it and there's nothing left.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

which comprises the main plot. And their are than "5short ish missions", there is enough main missions + side missions to make ME3 2/3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

as long as ME1 and ME2, all three games have 30hours worth of content. No shit if you cut the main plot missions it'd be shorter. 3/3

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The main plot was you solving other races problems to get their armies. That's not a victory lap, that's gathering allies and armies 1/3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3/2 As much as sequels are continuations of stories, they do need to actually have some new content. and 5ish short missions doesn't cut it.
