Noise-cancelling dummy coil

Side view of the "bobbin" - made from two layers of plain black pickguard plastic and one layer of white/black/white plastic. The coil is about 400 feet of 32 AWG magnet wire, I think.

Back view of the plate. The coil is soldered to two little copper grommets, which are then soldered to a pair of heavier gauge leads that go to the control cavity at the front of the instrument.

I thought that 60 hertz hum was part of the personality of the instrument :)
