Books ruin things?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Any object could make a brick wall uneven if it is placed like that

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Or bad planning.

Masterpiece?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 10

can we get some fresh pixels my dude

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Put an old CRT TV in there and watch what happens.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Or a Nokia phone.

Can't see what the book is.....

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Asked and answered..twice. El Castillo, by Franz Kafka.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

same impact with a stone in that position. shall we now all get stoned?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

The photos in the bottom right and bottom left are showing different walls.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Moveable art installation in different locations. Mortar use could have corrected that as several have noted.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Red bricks, yellow bricks....make up your mind!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why reps want the books banned. They know it will error their walls

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mortar would have smoothed that out in 5-6 rows. Title should be "impact of proper construction techniques".

3 years ago | Likes 200 Dislikes 11

Focusing on how a wall is supposed to be built, you may just possibly be missing the point.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

It’s an intentional display.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 10

Ironically, that was the title of the book they used.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I agree, mortar shells can smooth out any wall.

ITS ART, BRO

3 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 6

Indeed. Proper masonry is art.

GOP: This is why book burnings are necessary.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Could have achieved the same thing with a butt plug

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

A brick can also do that to a wall of books.

3 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 2

Bricks at Stonewall --> law books on gay rights.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But mortar would still level them out in about six rows...

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Sooo, enough of the brick wall stupidity will cancel out the book? Sounds about right.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I, uh, maybe I'm too much of a bibliophile, but I don't use mortar when laying books.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

WHAT IS THE BOOK??

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

‘Wall Repair for Dummies “

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP says "El Castillo" by Franz Kafka.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No mortar, not really a wall. And if there was mortar, it would have gotten leveled out in several rows.

3 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 13

Never claimed to be a wall

Another brick in the wall, by Pink Floyd. :-p

3 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 4

I didn’t know the album was based on a novel. The more you know, huh?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Live and learn. ;-)

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

seems legit to me

3 years ago | Likes 448 Dislikes 4

That’s some phenomenal masonry

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not even mad about that that's not an accidental thing someone made that happen.

Using these:

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 11

Not sure why the downvotes? This seems very likely

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I look at that, and go "that's really neat".

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You don't say

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Not just another brick in the wall.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

These are one inch thick brick faces that voids are cut out for before pointing. Think brick 'tile'. Looks good, though.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 19

And? Cutting them apart to put the irregular ones is still a neat design trick, regardless.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Wonderful. If that sort of thing impresses you, I could probably find a coin behind your ear. Better still, I'll steal your nose.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 12

I like the way you work it...no brikkity

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I got to brick it up

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That brilliant brickwork.

3 years ago | Likes 163 Dislikes 0

Easy really. Build a wall then just cut out the design and fill with brick slips:

Yup
