Actually Jane Mansfield didn't loose her head in the accident. Her hair and the top of her skull were just ripped off. Side note. Those bars you see at the back of large transport or work trucks that extend down below the license plate. Those are called Mansfield bars and were implemented because of Jane Mansfield loosing the top of her head. (because her car went under the back of a truck)

No it was and is not comfortable. Wires and and scratchy fabric digging in. there was no elastic or stretch fabrics. Tight and stiff.
