Same thing happened to Iron Man.

Wow, these forced perspective clips are going wild!!!

Anyone talking about flying cars and what not just need to see this video and many alike.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate when that happens.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That looks expensive.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They are lucky they only did property damage. Could have been much worse

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Might have hurt the driver.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Common sense wasn't part of the plan that day.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would say 7-10 years for attempt to murder and being morons in general

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Leonard never believed the Gypsy womens prediction that four lawnmowers would crash through the his truck windshield...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks fake.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

No. You can hear "Alter" thats real German

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Magnificent!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Drone looks CGI. Its shadow contours stay unchanged and crisp even after liftoff. Truck might be CGI too actually. Not sure.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

Yeah. Something seems off about the truck's tires and skid marks. Also no sound of the skidding tires and near zero reaction time for the driver to be able to blow the horn, yet they did.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

100% The shadow doesn't change shape when the craft tilts

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Alter

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn these drones are big nowadays! Now I can see them delivering explosives like in RU / UA.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got him!

Ooops!

This is why having a spotter is 1 the law, and 2 saves a shit ton of money. The pilot never saw that coming.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats a DJI agricultural drone, so thats probably not the us and spotter may not be the law.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aha, it def looked like a duster, wasn’t aware DJI had scaled up that big.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I’m amazed by the use of drones for agricultural spraying. Ingenious. Former coworker talked about agency using drones w thermal cameras to ID bad solar panels.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One of the first things I let my son do when we gave him a proper drone (instead of the $20 ones that are uncontrolable), is make shots of our solarpanels as Goolge Earth severely lacks detail...

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(There have been some changes between Google and the drone pic)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man if only there was a large grassy airy near that they could have done this in

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

He was clearly flying the drone over to said grassy area...right?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A) that's a big ass drone B) situational awareness my dude

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some sleuths on reddit deduced that it's CGI. The shadow's behavior is imperfect (it does not mirror the drone's change in pitch during translational motion), and the grass does not budge even though a drone of that size would generate a significant downwash. It's very well done though.

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 9

man it’s good but yeah, something about it looks… off

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Unless I'm misunderstanding, the shadow pretty clearly reacts to the drone pitching forward. Perhaps the easiest thing to look for is the RTK antenna on the front.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was gonna, say. The shadows are too perfect and although the framing of the video is shaky, the visual focal center is on the drone, which no shaky camera could accomplish. My minor in rendering finally paying off on reddit!

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Trees also look kind of off too

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

People on Reddit calling it fake doesn't make it fake. This shit happens all the time. I know this as a commercial DP that works on sets & has a large community of fellow videographers. I see nothing that confirms this as CGI.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 6

Here's a higher resolution version if you want to take a better look to help confirm your assessment. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vJ41RvN9DfA

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My company works with drones and I dislike them but not as much as I dislike most drone operators.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$30,000 quadcopter for aerial spraying. In the longer video you can see a tank in the truck for refilling it. I'm wondering if this was like a municipal weed control thing and so they were rolling down the road launching this every so often or something. Also it's legally their fault but man if I saw that thing in the opposing lane I would definitely slow the hell down.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Longer?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The actual video is like two seconds longer and pans to the left a bit at the end, where you can see an IBC tank or something in the truck bed.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know what longer means thanks, where is the link?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's on Douyin, the Chinese version of tiktok.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

According to imgur the average lifespan of a drone is about 3 seconds.

2 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 1

If they're including the hundreds of thousands of drones being used in Ukraine then yeah I can believe that average lifespan.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ukrainian dones: LAND NOW! Sure thing boss!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine lasted several months now, but I live in a place with very windy summers so I haven't even taken it out more than 8 hours of flight time altogether

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Oof

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have 9 quads and i live in a city where I'm trying not to lose them in someone's expensive houses, so i dont fly much irl. Just sims.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What fucking idiot starts a drone on a non closed street? Just start it on the patch of grass to your fucking left.

2 years ago | Likes 708 Dislikes 3

Career change moment

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or just wait 10 seconds...holy hell that was instant karma.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And who doesn't look right before sending it off across an open road?

2 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 0

Fwiw, this is fake / cgi.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 12

So this never happened to a single person anywhere ever? You can say that in 100% certainty? Do you know any of the people related to the video in any way? After answering all these questions could you please explain it to me like I'm five years old what the fuck does it matter whether this particular piece of video is fake or not?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Why do you say that?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Why did he start going forward so quickly. Should have clear straight up, then forward. Only proceed forward after clearing potential obstacles, like using a big crane

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Could’ve been a strong gust of wind or just didn’t have time to orient itself.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think the video accurately demonstrates his ability to think like that

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Programmed routes can do some weird corner cutting

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That looks like Korea. And that grassy field is a rice paddy. The Drone distributes pesticides. You can't set up the drone in the rice paddy it is too wet and muddy and you will damage the crops you were paid to take care of.

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 3

The guy says: 'Alter' which is german.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah, the sounded German. But we don't have yellow lines on the streets

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Na Klar, wieso sollten wa nicht, sehe die oft

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

§39 StVO legt fest, dass Fahrbahnmarkierungen immer weiß sein müssen. Nur temporäre Markierungen dürfen gelb sein (Baustelle). Das sieht mir aber nicht nach einer temporären Markierung aus.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That doesn't bother me. Simply starting it without looking both ways is the problem

2 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

I think they underestimated the wind

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s almost as stupid as this.

COMING THROUGH

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hello, State Farm?

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I've uploaded it via YouTube as, apparently, browser users can't post with sound to Imgur… https://youtu.be/8oINFLJV9fo

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This one is much better.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not what I expected to happen. Thought it was just gonna fly up into those wires.

2 years ago | Likes 165 Dislikes 0

look a at the power poles - they are on either side of the street. No actual wires above the helo at all.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Filming vertically? Yup, pretty stupid.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 11

I'll take "Wadsworth Constant" for $1200, Alex

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And this is why we have so many regulations on operating things that fly.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And almost as stupid as recording this vertically

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Love the videos where they know something is going to go down, so they film the scene with jacshit happening forever, right up until shit does go down. then they decide to take random ground panoramas

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The most alarming thing was the amount of motorcycles.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

...you dont see alot of videos from brazil, south asia, and africa do you? if they dont take off their helmet, RUN!!! if they pull up fast and stop suddenly, RUN!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Here's the stabilised version I promised! I didn't use Virtualdub2, I used Topaz Video AI, however, so the roll/zoom is unaffected by the stabilisation…

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Missing sound now.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

SHIT, thanks for pointing that out, I can't figure out how to post an mp4 with sound to Imgur, but I'll reupload it as soon as I find out how; I'm hoping it's not a browser issue as phone programs have much more robust options than the browser version as with tic tok/Instagram!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They could have cropped 30 seconds off the beginning and as ua bonus it would have eliminated the SeizureVision™ camera work.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Is that 'copter now just totalled or can it be repaired for a reasonable price?

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

My dad has a full@st of tools. We can totally fix this

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It is pretty much totaled. At the very least it would require new rotor blades, a new engine, and everything that is between those two things. Would more than likely be cheaper to buy a new helicopter.

2 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

paint job, flex tape. "Only serious buyers, I know what I have."

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That one is pretty much totaled, some can be saved, but.....

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yupp it's mostly some spare parts now. Save some bolts. Most things that should be straight is bent. Well you could use everything from the control panel and things like that.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That is what they get for landing a helicopter on the road. And if they had a legit reason to be there they should have had someone flagging traffic around the width of the blades.

2 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 6

there was (presumably military / security dressed in black).. then they got back into the helo (guessing because it was going to take off) and that was when the truck turned the corner.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nah. Much further away than that. The air flow from the rotors can turn loose rocks into potentially lethal projectiles. Lived next to a hospital without a dedicated pad. Whole street needed to be blocked every time.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry but how fucking blind and deaf do you have to be to drive a truck towards a helicopter and think anything other than that was going to happen. Even if it was coned or had a flagger nearby, I still think this moron would make the same mistake twice

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you know.. most highways are built to allow aircrafts like helicopters and airplanes to land on

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 13

But still need to have people blocking traffic.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But that’s a parking lot

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

🎵Ooh, bop-bop-bop
Ooh, bop-bop-bop (na-na-na-na-na)Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone?
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot🎵

doesnt mean you should without reason

Land a 747? The wingspan of a 747 is 225 feet, and it needs somewhere between 4 and 6 thousand feet of level, straight tarmac that can take a rather suddent impact of 200-210t of 150mph aircraft hitting it.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That... is not accurate at all. A 747 requires about 2km of perfectly straight pavement to land on. not to mention the ground pressure of having about 250 tons of aircraft on 18 wheels.Noy yo
