I thought there was an interview with Steve Bannon that they don't think Trump has much longer (due to health). It maybe a more accurate modifier than we think. He was concerned if Trump doesn't make it through the midterms and democrats won; no one would be able to preserve all the "work" they've achieved in remolding the government.

About the only downside to Trump croaking is that Vance is barely any better and he would be running as an incumbent in 2028. I don't see how Americans could elect Vance, but then again, I was certain there was no way America would elect Trump in 2016, 2020 or 2024 and was wrong 2 out of 3 times.

That has been going around for months, but realistically it's only slightly above 50/50 whether his health will give out in the next 18 months or so (based on information from a while ago, so if you prefer saying 15 at this point you're probably right). Just because he's likely to topple over doesn't mean we have any guarantees.

The name was created in statute when the current center and programs were funded by the Congress in the 1960's. Only the Congress has the legal authority to change those programs, or the name of the organization. Its board does not have that power. Until an act of Congress directs the change, it's just one powerful jackass nailing up signs and changing letterheads. If Donald Child-rapist Trump croaks in the meantime, I'm all in favor. His name will NEVER be on it officially.
