I use the phrase "overt fascism" when discussing current US events. Because the US has been fascist my whole life. But they were polite about it, threw a pride flag and a fist on every bomb.

The American soldiers who came to our aid, infinitely respected and forever honored. We shouldn’t mix up the sacrifices made by individuals of quality vs. a country they happened to be from.

Nit that he was any better in foreign relations, he was def elegant but he still bombed weddings, authorized extrajudicial killings, deported bazillions of people and cut a lot of budget to entities like the DOE. He was a good break but not any different than the 4 before him

Germany didn't start WWI. They entered it on the pretext of defending their friend; Austria, after their Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. WWII was what it was. Since WWII, Germany has been a strong and industrious ally to the West and the defacto leader of the EU. East Germany was controlled and influenced by communist USSR so I wouldn't count them as true Germany till after the walls collapse. So what are you talking about?
