i dont think its in kansas anymore.

How does the rest of the plane just sit there and allow a flight attendant to “force” someone to do that?

I don't understand why this need hasn't been filled yet - pet friendly airlines should be a thing by now. Most of us would pay MORE for it

This is nothing new. In the 70s, my dad's brother (a vet) sent us a dog via United. Doggo ended up in Canada. Eventually we got him.

I love dogs, especially my own little fella. However, I’ve never felt compelled to bring him on a flight with me. That’s what kennels are 4.

The family whose dog ended up in Japan were moving.
Their dog wasn’t in the cabin though. I just don’t think aircraft cabin is an appropriate place to bring a dog. Allergic people, poo/wee etc

They'd have to kick me off the plane before I put a puppy in an overhead bin. The flight attendant would be stuffed in there first.
In today's climate they'd not only kick you off the plane, you'd be arrested for refusing to follow orders from the flight crew.

Agreed. Although as an allergic person: airlines should have separate have spaces for animals separated from the passenger cabin.
Tohob
United had more animal deaths in 2017 than every other airline in the country combined.

I was surprised, I never would have guessed those bins were air tight

Probably airtight enough. Kinda like trying to breath in bed w/the covers over your face. Or the dog panicked and went into cardiac arrest.

Why are people still going with them?
I don;t know. There are apparently still people who insist on taking their dogs on holiday.
I meant flying with united.
I know. Just joking.
