I've always loved cars, specially vintage and classic cars. These are scale models I carve out of balsa wood. They are ~1/18 scale and I base them off pictures of the cars and measurements I can find online. In some cases I've also had access to the real car so that helps.

Tools Used: Exacto knives, sandpaper, super glue.

It takes me ~120 hours to complete each model not including the planning and measurement phase. While some people suggest I paint over them, I like leaving them in this natural wood finish. And no, the doors, hood and trunk don't open :)

It's been a while since I've built one, but I've never shared them before so thought you guys might appreciate them. You can check out more of my work (mostly non wood related) at http://shek.it

1959 Cadillac Eldorado (front) & 1930 Stutz (rear)

1959 Cadillac Eldorado

1935 Buick 90L

1925 Rolls Royce Phantom 1

Built this one as a gift, so added a custom display case and some packaging.

1946 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith

This is a much smaller 1/43 scale model. I actually started building them out small to mimic the Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars I used to love as a kid before moving up in scale.

Nice work !

These are amazing! I love your attention to detail! Balsa can be tricky to deal with in smaller scale but these look so crisp!
