I love all of Serjs' solo albums. The dude is so talented. Empty Walls was the first song I heard after System split, and I fell in love with the music. Still listen to it on my commute to work and back, too.
The proper delivery of the word "fuck" is an art form. Just throwing it around with no delivery or umph? Every other word so much like an "um" or an elongated "sooooo." This is maybe a 7 on a scale from 1 John FUCKING Malkovich in my opinion. It's a super satisfying 7, though. It's also kinda like ice cream or pizza - even a 2 is still starting at being pizza and therefore a 4 or 5 for everything else...
Sugar is by a slim margin, my favourite SOAD song. man I used to know the lyrics to every one of their songs when I was a teen. Cant help to even sing along to this
Isn’t it amazing to look back on the … purity … of your teen years? I mean, they probably kinda sucked (at least mine did!) but I felt my feelings with such purity then. And didn’t even know it, sigh. Adulthood is so much more complicated. Damn
I'll be honest, I'm way happier as m adult than I was as a teenager. People say they are the best years but people really don't talk about how much puberty ruins your happiness. You are too young and inexperienced to have any real semblance of self awareness.... That being said, I miss being that easy to please. I got adulthood adhd xD
Good for you! I should add, I’m not UNhappy as an adult, just really your comment made me remember how PURELY I could fall into a song & get swept away by whatever strong emotions it brought me to as a teen. And how certain songs were an absolute balm to me back then in a way I don’t feel as much now, in my 50s (yeah, I’m old! lol) But I still love music! =)
Heh! And I was just (finally!) diagnosed with ADHD at 53!! Crazy! I can look back & realize I’ve had it my whole life, but it wasn’t till menopause that it became totally unmanageable for me! (So weird!!) As for teen years — h.s. was ok. But it was during college that I really blossomed I realize now. Wow— if only to be that healthy & optimistic again?! heh

Had to, or chose to shave noodle? Also what does shaving a cay do to its normal wierdo functions?
EidiliaThomas
It reminds me of my daughter's cat, The Honorable Miss Phryne Fisher, seen here with frenemy, Zeus. She has attitude and sass 24/7.
