Van Gogh is an eastern screech owl. While tiny, don't underestimate those talons or his wonky beak. Van Gogh was injured in the wild and was a rehabilitation candidate until his injuries proved too severe to be re-released. Now I get to work with him and he gets people to say "oh my gosh that owl is soooooo cute."
