I can recall once buying a knife to open the packaging on a pair of scissors. Same clamshell. I felt totally defeated when I realized what I'd done.

I will open this with the product inside!

Better buy 2 of them, then. I'm educated. I watched King of the Hill.

We need to strike a balance between stopping thieves from getting at things and allowing legitimate buyers to get at things.

I know this tool is to easily open packaging but what tool would I use to open the package the tool came in. Feels kinda like a chicken or the egg situation.

Iiiiiirony, is such a lovely word.

No, this is perfect packaging for this device. It is a reminder of how much those clam shells suck. It will make you think of using it every time you need it!

I have a Leatherman with a tool specifically for this bullshit packaging. Possibly the best feature on it.

Hard plastic like that can also cut deep into the gums, which bleed a lot!

Shoplifting is the reason for these packages. Just so you know. That's why we can't have nice things.

Updoots to a better way of opening packages!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My thoughts xacto.

The irony is that the clamshell packaging opener itself arrives in clamshell packaging

It instills a sense of necessity. You've all seen the packaging and if you saw this in stores and tried to open it, you would immediately think that you could definitely use this device as in your hands is a perfect example of where it could be useful. genius.

My thought was that at least you don’t have to go looking for an example to try it out on once you get it open.

I do like opening packages after I've opened them.

Cutting water bottles open is actually very useful because it's fun and staves off the impending sense of our own mortality for a few brief seconds
