To the idiot who tried to claim I've been fed corporate propaganda all my life.....you are a moron. Pointing out reality doesn't make one a stooge. Anyone who thinks the promotion was this guy's idea in the first place are the real stooges. Sad fall from many people who were praising the business owner who, when selling his business to a new owners, gave everyone bonuses. You must all hate him now too.

They have 1500 stores. Thats a thousand bucks a store…….

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not even good enough

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The 1.5 million in bonuses came from franchisees selling an extra 200 orders of large fries...

1 week ago | Likes 133 Dislikes 0

And each employee got (Gasp!) $50 !!
(They have 30K employees)

Why do Americans eat at places like this like they have free healthcare?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Food is one of the only pleasures we have in America. I get the sentiment, but generally a good percentage of us only have the time for picking up fast food, before going home having a nap and getting back up to go to the second job.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't ever let them tell you he accomplished nothing.

...Allegedly! Gotta keep in mind that gun was planted in his bag.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Of course the New York Post has to frame it as some form of extortion instead of just paying your fucking employees. God I hate conservatives.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Just wanted to point out that, while we may never know who killed that healthcare CEO, no one has suggested the shooter was an employee. When you are that big of an asshole, your enemies are legion.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So every employ got a gift card for 20 bucks that can only be used at 5 guys.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Great, now lower your prices

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

BTW you are charged more per burger to cover the amount of extra fries they give you in the bag.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone should do the funniest thing and shoot him in the back anyway.

1 week ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I saw somewhere it worked out to like 65 bux an employee. Big whoop

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So it's working.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Eh, an additional $50 isn't really sharing the wealth generated by our labor.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But they're afraid, is the point.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not afraid enough, apparently.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s the Post, guys, c’mon.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Thanks, Luigi.

So pay your staff a decent wage, it’s not rocket science

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So close conversion bot, but (1.)5 million dollars is not almost 16 feet.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean... if this is how we have to do this, I think I'm in.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is an insanely dumb fuck take on this story. He said that entirely as a joke. He gave out that money because he and the upper management screwed up a promotion and placed unforeseen stress on employees. He did it because he felt like a jerk for not planning things better.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Not only that but they did the deal again, but for 3 days instead of one. Like, I took advantage of it both times. People here got some very sour opinions on this place but I fucking love 5 guys. As a topping whore I love getting the burger "All the way" and having it cost nothing extra. And the peanut oil fries is better tasting than like 90% of the fries I get at other places.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thing is, the entire thing was full of out of touch jokes. Its fine if these things were solved but ive personally witnessed the fact that United Healthcare has learned nothing. A friend had to plead for access to their basic live saving healthcare (which was interrupted because they fked up entering my friends details) in a group call with insurers and other related staff etc and the exec invited said he was only on for his own amusement and how everyone here was beneath him. In those words.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

At least he is trying to make it a little better.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Shitting on a rich person for doing the right thing without a court order is a departure from the world I thought I knew.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean yeah. Apparently the getting shot thing was a joke and he was just trying to do right by his employees. I appreciate that kinda thing. He might still be a rich asshole but at least he is being a little decent now and then.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I’m also reading it as a joke. A normal person is capable of recognizing when their people make them a bunch of money, and rewarding them without it being a structured promise.

I’d like to see a world where folks can trust a minimum promise the company can afford as a wage, and share in the wealth when they outperform projections. That’s good leadership.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did one employee get a bonus or did the entire labor pool get bonuses. Also how much were Corp profits and how much did he get salary/bonus?

1 week ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

Stop asking completely sensible questions. Just read the headline and stand in awe of how much money that is to poors like us. Wow, what a wonderful CEO- just like all CEOs. They're the best! Leaders who boldly do what everyone else is doing. Would you like a side of AI with that?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$1000 was given to every story and shared between the employees.

The CEO also thought he was being funny when he said this, he wasn't being serious. If he were serious he would have given more than $100 bonuses to Frontline employees

1 week ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

He would have hired more security, that's it.

1 week ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Wasn't it also over a sale that was simply way more popular than expected? Thus increasing the workload for a few days?

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

$61.45m to the top executives, the rest split amongst the peasants.

1 week ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

The rest of what?

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How many peasants? Asking for a friend.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

5 guys employs over 30,000 people.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So spread 1.5 mil between them equally and everyone got 50 bucks. Sounds like he aint too worried bout takin them back shots.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

It is 100% more than any generosity you’ve ever shown your employees, so maybe put a dick in your word hole, and fuck off with your attitude.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 8

A significant portion of not being a dick is doing right by people. Can’t fault the guy for doing the right thing when it wasn’t required. Choose your battles differently.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

@ThingsThatDontJustifyGenocide

Block me when you can’t defend your statement. Pretend it never happened. Never grow. You’re a waste of seed.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1.5 mill is fucking nothing considering how much they make.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Nothing to say. Still said it. Bravo. Take your meds.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is about $1.5M more than nothing, which is what most CEOs give employees after they screw up.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's not the right thing when it's for the wrong reasons.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

So you even have the slightest idea what this was about?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus Christ. What the fuck are you talking about wrong reasons?

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"I did the right thing because I know what I deserve" is not "doing the right thing when it wasn't required".

Also, total revenue is $1B for Five Guys, generally.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

It is specifically doing the right thing when it isn’t required. WTF are you even talking about?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

For reasons so wrong that they negate that right thing, on top of being a general over-paid shitbag as well.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Reasons so wrong? What the fuck are you even talking about?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The post, dumbfuck. Kick rocks, or something.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s not really the fully story. He was making a joke and gave bonuses to stores because a promo went better than expected and they were flooded with customers overwhelming the staff

1 week ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Figured it was a joke before reading the article. Libs and the left buy anything they see just like MAGA. OK, not as bad, but it's fucking diappointing.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, his interview is full of fun little jokes like that /s. He says he was going to use that money to buy his wife a fur coat, haha, now she's still mad at him! Oh, and he doesn't understand that people go to sales, he never expected so many people to react to a "buy one, get one free" sale, whoops, lol!

I don't know if he does it on purpose or if he genuinely thinks these things, but the whole interview makes him come off as... An out of touch rich guy.

1 week ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I didn't think it sounded like that at all. And I bet his employees don't think that either. They probably see an owner taking responsibility for a poorly planned promotion (which was most likely planned by marketing reps in the company not him) and having fun with the situation.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You've been fed a steady stream of corpo propaganda all your life, haven't you?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s just the sort of noise a certain group of Americans make all the time. Very on brand for them. Deciding to give his employees a bonus is so out of character for those who speak this way it requires an extraordinary explanation. There’s slime on your feel-good story, media

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

And I think your reaction to it is just as bad. We are so ingrained now to not believing when there is actual remorse from a business owner to their employees for causing them to work harder than they normally had to.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Perhaps. But I am suspicious, and I think it is right to be suspicious. “Here is the money your labor earned, it should be mine, but I give it to you all as a gift.”

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's more like... the credible threat of violence. Which doesn't really exist without a previous example of actual violence...

There is that photo of the farmers auctions where the banks took peoples farms, and all the farmers banded together to bid super low, like pennies for the land, and gave it back to the original farmer. To prevent self interested people trying to snap up the land super cheap for themselves, the farmers hung up nooses in the back as a credible threat. Solidarity + threat

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Upon the unanimous decision of the ultra rich: yes. They will not allow things to get better with them alive & well.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cheers

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been fucking saying for such a long time, but apparently that's "uncivilized". So many good people are brainwashed by that word willingly because they know violence is awful. Someone putting you in a box where you have to work or die of starvation is also violence though. We are in a self defense scenario against the parasites at the top. Peaceful protest isn't ineffective, but they need reminders of the alternative.

1 week ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Laws would also work if we hadn't allowed money to control our law making process. Corporations have no morals beyond their corporate charter and what is legal. That's it. Even if the person in charge wanted to do good, the investors or the board could sue and remove them for violating the corporate charter. There is no alternative. And that's without the fact that, given too much money, human nature is to be come one of the "let them eat cake" brigade. Laws or violence. There is no other path.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but also, it makes me think this CEO is dogshit garbage if the only thing making him do a token-good that's miniscule compared to what he could do is the idea that someone might do a Luigic action that is for the moral good of the world.

Just means he knows he's not doing good things.

1 week ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

Oh he knows, which makes him somewhat better and more self aware than a lot of them. I'm not going to bat for any CEO but there are better and worse ones, it's a spectrum of arrogance and entitlement and this guy is less arrogant and evil than say, the CEO of Palantir or Tesla or the health insurance CEOs...

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see this as a positive. Pieces of shit are starting to learn they better act right or the people will come for them

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

USA so called "democracy" has completely failed to reign in these rich scumbags' bad behavior. Luigi actually did create some positive impact, not enough, but yeah the credible threat of violence can change behavior...

1 week ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

He's probably still an Asshole because he's a CEO but it's $1000 bonus to the employees which I wouldn't mind.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2026/03/26/five-guys-ceo-bonus-burger-deal/89330400007/

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its 1,000 to the store, and then they split among the employees. It doesn't say how it's split, or how many employees work at each location or if they gave them guidelines, could just be 1,000 for the GM at that point.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hold up, it was $1.5 of HIS bonus? How big was the fucking bonus? He's worth $400 million and the company had at least $1.7 billion in revenue last year. This guy is a mega fucking asshole.

1 week ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

It wasn't his bonus, it was a bonus he was giving to employees at a bunch of locations after a promotion they ran backfired

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

its not the real solution, the real solution is fair systems.

This is just a method of destroying society with people feeling validated to inflict violence on one another for what they feel they are owed.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 22

How do you expect us to grt a fait system?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But since we're not GETTING fair systems, we have to fight for them.

Violence is never a GOOD answer, and it should be the option of last resort.... but sometimes, you are down to your last resort. If everything else is tried and fails - which is what has happened in the Corporate Oligarchy of America - then your choices are to use your last resort... or give up.

Oh, and.... "what we're owed"? Do you mean the ability to food, clothe, and shelter? Do you consider those optional!?

1 week ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Found the corpowhore apologist

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's just the mentality of America. Overwhelming violence seems to be the only way to enforce change, as peaceful protest doesn't do Jack.

1 week ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

As was clearly demonstrated by both no kings protests

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

There were three.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... it's been a fking decade of amerimorons living as wage slaves beneath a fascist orange pedophile dictator and this "overwhelming violence" you speak of is entirely by the fascists, right down to the fake ear stunt. No. West Israel is a country of placid, weak and indoctrinated people who are Demonstrably incapable of figthing back. The most they do is get their steps in on a fking fitbit. A culture that worships wealth, fame, stupidity and itself.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No shit Sherlock. One side embraced the violence, while the other hoped for a peaceful resolution. The issue being that the violent side also understands how to keep the masses placid by keeping things just bearable enough to take.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Hoped for a peaceful resolution. With nazi saluting, clearly racist, absolutely lowlife. He's has done nothing but tell you absolute cretins what he is and what he'll do, and all you Demonstrably are capable of is smoking your filthy copium and playing pretend. "Wait till the midterms!" Etc etc. You aren't some peaceful side being deceived. You are complete and utter failures as human beings who are actively chosing inaction in the face of overwhelming evidence. You are as pathetic as drumpf is.

Only eat from them when work buys..

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What a terrible way for me to find that out.

Probably shouldn't eat there regardless of political affiliation

as far as chains go, it's pretty tasty. I mean a big mac is still like 9 dollars and 600 calories and tastes like garbage.

1 week ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

A Five Guys single burger meal is damn near $20, has more bread than meat, and is a death sentence for anyone with a peanut allergy. they're just Steak n' Shake with a different gimmick.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

I mean, ANY place using peanut oil is a death sentence for people with a peanut allergy, lol. "Panera clam chowder is a death sentence for anyone with a selfish allergy", by that logic. 🤣

(Not arguing with anything else you said, to be clear. 👌. Hell, just take out the "peanut allergy" part and you're still pretty accurate. 😆)

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I meant just being there, as the last time I was at a Five Guys, there were barrels of peanuts all over the place. Same with Texas Roadhouse.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

$20 for a slightly better than average burger, super potatoey fries, and a decent milkshake. At least that is what it cost 5 years ago.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Media Lab donates almost exclusively to Republican campaign funds. The same Media Lab profiting from every post and comment made here. This website is so full of people willing to tell others how they went vegan to save the whales, all while stuffing their new iPhone into a leather Coach bag made of whale skin.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I tried one of their low carb burgers in a lettuce wrap and please god I don'twant to go through that again. They use fattier beef than I thought so by the time I started eating it, the grease had completely soaked through everything. it was thoroughly disgusting and I had to take a shower afterward.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I stopped eating there when I went the first time and paid $20 for a tiny hamburger that tasted slightly similar to the ones I make at home and a small cup of fries. Everything I heard about them filling a bag with fries was a complete lie.

1 week ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Same as basically every other major corporation. There’s no ethical consumption under capitalism. 🤷‍♂️

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's corporate America. They have so much excess money that they play both sides to ensure they always have hooks in the winner

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Everyone did with those post'CO ID prices.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm curious, why would they donate to both?

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Everyone does this for obvious reasons. In case you’re AI and need explaining, it’s because you can bend both to your will regardless of who wins you win. Hence money is inherent political power DER.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

A lot of companies will do donation matching for their employees. That's sometimes included in numbers cited. It's a big reason fox news also contributed to both, along with climate change and lgbt causes despite being fox news.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Almost every corp does this, so politicians will look at them more favorably, and if donation rolls come out, they go 'see? we don't donate by party line, we're not biased or putting our thumb on the scale'

1 week ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Well that does make sense, thank you.

1 week ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

yep, and that being said, most tend to donate more to Republicans due to a perception that Republican politicians are more business-friendly.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I ate there once and was that was all I needed to stop eating there. Most boring burger I've ever had. Not the worst, but so boring.

1 week ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 7

You literally create your own burger there? The only thing on the menu is how many patties and whether you want cheese. What you put on the burger is up to you. Did you just put ketchup and say it was boring? I'm not even a huge fan and if that right wing shit is true I'll stop going the once per year ish that I do but can you not figure out how to make an interesting burger? They have a whole two lists of things you can add, if the burger was boring that's on you

1 week ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 7

The burger itself is pretty boring. Like, I dont think they use any seasoning on their burgers when they grill them. Even just lightly salting the meat would be huge

1 week ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

It's so fucking bland. And saying this as a Belgian, the Fries are terribly mediocre.

1 week ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

If their frites are mediocre compared to Belgian ones, that makes them very good in the world of junk food.

1 week ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Compared to the absolute filth that is american junk anything is gonna be good. Between putting your corn shit in everything, letting your corporate overlords use every cost cutting measure imagineable, having weak institutions such that food safety is mostly an abstract concept and having a culture that literally prides itself on terrible overly fatty food... West Israeli food is disgusting. I have tried both it and local food in India and you couldn't pay me to choose american.
