This photo was taken just as he started to get sick he lost so much strength so quickly
jacrussell1925
We had a cat who got to 21, Jiffy must really have been quite a cat.
Dranolth
For what it's worth, he looked like a badass!
Coffeebug

I just lost my 23 year old cat in June. Months ago I would've said she had years left. Sorry for your loss OP. Read the rainbow bridge poem!

I'm so sorry, my dog passed away last night and I can't get over the fact that I wasn't there for her.
glenstair
Sorry for your loss, I'm sure she passed peacefully, she'll be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge I'm sure, with tail wagging.
ILikeCharmanderOk
My sympathies matey. If you were a good friend to her though, that's what matters.
ElizaMDancer
Oh nooooo! So very sorry to hear
ClickityDoucheBabaGanoosh
So sorry OP. Remember that you had 23 years with him. That's a long time with a cat. You're lucky.
silenthamburger
They say cats are never gone... and they'll just be back in a jiffy...

He put up a really good fight
Starwulf99
My wife said he looks like he already came back from the dead once, like the Pet Cemetery Cat. I was like "Yeah, I can see that. Death 1/2
Starwulf99
Came for him 5 years ago and your cat beat the tar out of him, so death was like "Fine, you can live 5 more years, but then you have to pass
Starwulf99
So not only did your cat live a damned long life, it beat up death as well :). Truly Cathalla material.

Was going to grab toilet paper to wipe my ass. Instead, wiping some tears. That was goddamn beautiful.

Visit their website. It helped me get through my cat's death and I was absolutely devastated.
Valentijn101
23? That s really really old for a cat. he must have had a verry good life with you op.
PraiseGoogle
If we apply the whole 1 human year = 7 dog years to cats, then that cat lived to be 161. Imagine a human that old
rmdworth
I work at a vet clinic and there was a 24 year old cat that stayed with us. That's crazy! Sorry for your loss OP.
ObzenR
Sorry about your kitty, OP. Hang in there
TGWolf
Both mine were 26 when they passed. A long life for all. Wish dogs could live that long.
dsylexia
it pronunce Jiffy, not Jiffy
imagurner
My cat was 24 when she died, quietly in her sleep, she never went to the vet except to get neutered as kitten & I removed her stitches...
hansolongdingdongtralala
My cat of 17 years died and it was tough as hell. Cannot imagine what you are going through OP
VeryMoistTowelettes
I'm going to have to go out and get at least 3 kittens when my cat kicks the bucket.
tremblementdegrandmere
Same. I got a kitten not too long ago but now it feels like time is gonna go by fast :(
woolyworm53
Same! I only got her a year ago but time flies. I'm so scared I'm gonna blink and she'll be old again, damn I'm such a sucker for cats...
sheebalasvegas
He was well taken care of, OP. He looks like he was a wise old cat
PrettyNiceForAnAsshole
You gonna hit him right in the feels like that? It hit me in the feels. Good luck op
Dusty809
How much is this in cat years ?
Doctornotyep
About 108
thor0486
that's like 200 in cat years, cat's usually go around 12 or 13.
Idonthavealottosay
Noooooo
Flyndaran
No such thing as "cat years". Healthy cats often live to around 12-15, but the record is mid 30s. So there's lots of variability.
RoryBlack1
Rate then ourselves
RoryBlack1
Cat years are a measure of there body's biogical age compared to ours due to the rate they mature is much faster, and so they age at a faste
Flyndaran
They are meaningless because there is no 7 per 1 or any other nonsensical measure. They age differently than us.
Nova225
...hence the term "cat years" and "dog years"
