His best role was Detective Frank Pembleton from Homicide: Life on the Street. Precursor to The Wire. Best damn TV detective ever. And H:LOTS was better than The Wire. Fight me.
Probably because at this point it would be humanity that we would say did it. If it was like cancer or something, there's only so much we could do about it.
Could also be pancreatic cancer. I lost a HS teacher to it within 2 weeks of diagnosis. Some diseases just move wicked fast and take some of the best people from us
My cousin died in September from pancreatic cancer. Also 2 weeks from diagnosis to death. She is the second family member to die of it, my grandmother also did but she had 13 months. It's a vicious cancer
My dad passed from pancreatic cancer and he was one of the lucky ones, fought it for almost 6 years. A lot of people don’t get diagnosed until it’s progressed very far, which usually means the end is coming fairly quick. (Obligatory “Fuck Cancer”).

Pembleton in the box is the best television, hands down.

I’ve never watched “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” - I guess I will now - he was my favorite in “City of Angels” - he’s a real angel now…

I'm unfortunately gonna make this worse: Cheddar died in 2019. His sister took up the role to wrap up the series. https://www.today.com/pets/dog-played-cheddar-brooklyn-nine-nine-has-died-t158171

A brief illness is most likely either covid or pneumonia, but who knows
nsmike
"brief illness" is usually code for cancer discovered too late.
mrsparkle001
Yeah I'm starting to suspect that
