Isn’t it bc people w slower club head speed benefit more from more flexible shafts? Giving it a whip like effect generating more speed.
Sort of.. you want the flex to match your swing speed so that your club face is square at the address, or point of impact with the ball..
..Giving you a straighter and more true ball flight. To stiff and you'll fly to low and short, to flexible and your gonna be up in orbit.
