I'll be honest, I was waiting for it to come down...

Pray for my country buddies

There's a pane of glass that comes within a foot or two of killing that woman. Near the beginning of the GIF. Fuck.

I've never been in an earthquake, yet I've had nightmares of being in a building swaying. I could feel myself moving back and forth.

I was on a call with guys in Mex when this happened. Could hear the building shaking before their line died. (They're fine, thankfully.)

Goddamnit Superman! What have we told you about hard-fucking Wonderwoman like that?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey, look what I have! A greeeeeeeat big can of 'fuck dealing with all that'. Jeez, terrible scenes

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a person who works on the 41st floor of a building, this terrifies me.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look at that fucker. Amazing

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus Christ @OP me sitting on the edge of my seat "oh please don't fucking collapse please don't!". I need a fucking drink. Stay safe peeps

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The people coming out of the building nearly got smashed by a falling pane of glass

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love the two walking in front of the camera and then seeing something off screen and casually walking the other way...

They are nope'ing they way back

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

"Oh look! That buildings falling! Better just lightly stroll back this way."

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Boom shake shake shake the room!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm actually impressed with their ability to run. That's not easy when it feels like you're standing on a raft.

God was shagging the earth.

Someone watched that Jennifer Lawrence movie ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Holy fuck that building shakes.

Person in red shirt: "I think I'm just going to stand by this building that is about to collapse, and not do anything."

8 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 2

I think that person is clinging to a trashcan so they don't fall over.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Its always the red shirts

He has to uphold a legacy

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Then *waddle waddle waddle waddle

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It shifted. That's a good thing, you want some wobble to it. The plaster breaking off is a bit concerning though since I imagine it(1)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

was happening internally too and getting beamed with ceiling chunks sounds unpleasant(2)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't think one was supposed to run outside. I've been told to shelter indoors under heavy furniture and ride it out.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

Statistically, most people are injured and killed in earthquakes by falling pieces of the building facades as they run outside.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Safer that way.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It depends on the setting. If its a packed street with a bunch of buildings, stay in a doorway (more support) or under heavy furniture.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Nope we Mexicans run the hell out of whatever building you are at

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, in a country with building codes and less construction-related corruption.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Doorways with no doors and next to heavy furniture is safe. Doors slam and furniture legs collapse but furniture rarely collapses completely

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This building totally collapsed later. They had better chances running outside away from buildings. Lower chance of death by sinkhole

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

Not sure why you're downvoted, this building did collapse to rubble later, or one that looks exactly like it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Someone's not from a 3rd world country.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

All of my earthquake drills had us either curl under a doorway or desk, curl in a ball and cover your head.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You got two choices in a situation like this, get killed by debri out side or dies crushed inside

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Or dodge debris outside like a ninja and live

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What were the choices again?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Run outside and frantically try to avoid the falling biulding that you just ranout of. Or die in side that same building crushed under desk

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmm. Those are both...attractive...but...I'll just have to think it over. I keep going back and forth.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

no thanks. i'll take my chances in a wide open space.

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

Many people run outside only to get hit by cars or falling debris. That's why they recommend door frames

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are videos of entire buildings collapsing to the ground. I'LL BE OUTSIDE, THANKS.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you see that big piece of plate glass come down right in front of the doors? Could cut you in half.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

there are items that can fall within small rooms that could do the same. would still take my chances outside.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

holy shit i didn't. coulda easily killed one of them.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

its risk of getting hit by falling debris escaping the building vs risk of the furniture you're under not withstanding collapse ontop of it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah- and that's why I said I'll take my chances outside.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yes but to get outside you must pass the falling debris

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what part of "take my chances" are you not understanding? it's pretty fuckin' clear, dude.
