Before downvoting, educate yourself on the conservative position.

As a Boy scout there are already female members in BSA called venturing scouts. Having them be in the program at a younger age sounds fine.

So you want me to go to FB for a video by an extremely biased source to "educate" myself?

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

He's very good at working his arguments but I disagree with his views on a number of issues. Also some of his views don't seem compatible.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

How embarrassing for you to consider this logic. Do we need to explain to you that the KKK aren't actually knights? Names are just names.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

"educate yourself on the conservative position" Let me save you sometime: "Science, bad!"

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

The Girl Scouts let boys in. Boys who are biologically boys. And identify as boys. Because why the fuck not?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

As a former scout, I'll let the BSA decide the issue. No this guy. Fuck, does he think ya gotta be a tiger to be a Tiger Scout?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

A common misinterpretation. The name is actually "Boy, Scouts!", indicating one's excitement that they are scouts.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

This is good stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The conservative position can lick my balls.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

Actually I think they just allowed transgender members? Although practically speaking it is very few.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I believe trans folk are around .3% of the population. All of the outrage over them is completely based on fabricated bullshit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah it was funny the first 10 reposts. I swear imgur is the Tumblr for men

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 13

*insecure manchildren

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 5

If it's not hurting anyone, why be so upset if a person wants to be called "he" instead of "she?" Let people be themselves.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Venture crew is co ed and the trips are way more intense (Philmont) but there aren't as many active chapters as regular scouts

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's not a conservative position. It's a nasty position. It doesn't say "biological boy scouts".

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 7

What other type of boy is there?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

You're kidding, right? Ben Shapiro? The guy who couldn't even cut it at the white supremacist rag Breitbart? Did he pay you to do this?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

Ben Shapiro is an idiot. He's like the smug conservative answer to smug liberals.

He speeds through a lot of points without pausing for responses. I think it's more that he's well-spoken, not necessarily correct.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 7

I knew a guy, super butch marine type, that was an honorary girl scout as a kid. The gender thing is pointless.Teach kids all the cool stuff

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Y Chromosome Scouts.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

So girls with androgen insensitivity syndrome are allowed?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Shots fired!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Except it's "Boy scouts", not "biological boy scouts". Meaning any kid who identifies as a boy ought to be able to join.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Do you realize 'boy' is a biological designation, or does that clash with your agenda?...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 10

That's funny, I thought "male" was the biological designation.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

'A', not 'The'. XX and XY are also biological designations...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

My point is, "boy" does not necessarily mean "biologically male". It's a gender designation as well.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is a thing called Venture Scouts, which is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America. Boys and girls, camping, hiking, etc. If your town >

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

15 to 21. Older youth as well

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

YUP! I was in Venture and I am a chick. It was hella tight.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank the Lord someone knows about venture. But there are also sea scouts. Pretty cool stuff if you go looking.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And explorers, too.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't know about that specific group.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

doesn't have a chapter, contact the BSA, generate interest, and start one. Don't complain. Do something about it.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Pretty easy to start a crew. Local BS troop will point you in the right direction.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@OP transgender boys are allowed in the Boy Scouts.....

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I was educated on the conservative position pretty well when they used who am I as a political whipping boy. Get Bent.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 6

Are you LGBT, black, Muslim, or female? Conservatives shit on so many people, it's a wonder they still have enough to fill a party.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

"Educate yourself on the Conservative position" - get fucked.

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 20

I don't think its absurd to hear both sides of the argument. I listened to the video and was really surprised by the strength of his 1

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

No, it's more the "Educate yourself" bit. If you don't care enough to explain your side to me I'm not sure why you expect me to care either.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

arguments (I say, as someone whose almost entire social group in high school was LGBT). 2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Well the "conservative positon" is just that.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

They seem to think an unfamiliarity with their position is the reason people think they're full of shit.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Actually our boy scout troop has been allowing girls to join since the early 90's

9 years ago | Likes 291 Dislikes 19

As a former professional, I promise you they havent unless you had an explorer or venture crew.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 7

I belonged to two troops who allowed girls and boys. Never felt like it was a big deal, we all had fun.

9 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 2

Ya but i think they were Explorers, which is a coed chapter

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wish I'd had one like that. The boys went camping and lit fires and the girls did arts and crafts inside. I CAN DO ARTS AND CRAFTS AT HOME.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Meh, it was alright but eventually you wise up to the fact that you're being given homework for something you can just stop doing lol.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Venturing or ?

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I did both, venturing crew was way more fun anyway.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Beavers and Cubs were separated. Scouts and Venturers were coed.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are beavers cub scouts for girls?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Boy scouts goes; Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers. Girl Guides goes; Sparks, Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well I mean there's boy scouts and girl scouts, why co-mingle? Not that I'm against it, I just don't understand.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

The names make them seem like similar organizations, but they're very different. Many girls feel like you don't learn anything useful in GS.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

As someone who was in GS, you dont. You learn ""useful"" things like how to bake, do makeup, sew, and sell cookies. We had camping (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I would have much preferred boy scouts growing up. What they did was what i wanted to learn, and what i thought i was signing up for.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Trips but the moms did everything for us. Didnt learn how to pitch a tent or make a fire. But everything to make us good little housewives.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

See I would like for everyone to have the same basic skills. From cooking, sewing, camping, and starting a fire. It's essential for everyone

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can we just stop being assholes to each others

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

The assholes here are the deluded pricks that want to force their phony beliefs onto others. I agree, it'd be nice if they stopped.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 8

If you went by Bob, but the entire world called you "Alice," wouldn't you want them to start calling you by the name you preferred? 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

A name and a gender isn't the same thing. Get outta here with your false equivalencies. Why can't a lady be named Bob?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

No, I'm saying that this means everything to the trans person and requires almost no effort on the part of everyone else. Is it so hard?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm not going to play pretend to make a mentally ill person feel like they're not mentally ill. You don't give vodka to an alcoholic.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Hi there! I'm a lady who used to be a guy. I gotta say that I'm not forcing anything on anyone--I just want to be addressed as who I am. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I'm all with you.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So a guy who thinks he's a lady.....

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So you clearly understand the situation, but would rather insult me despite the fact that the way I live has no affect on your life? Kudos.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Ur obviously butthurt

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"It's not us it's them" , good way to sound like an asshole, let people enjoy their lifes.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Outstanding work being a hypocrite there, chief.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Theyve been letting girls in boyscouts for a while so this argument doesnt really make sense.... Source: I was a girl boyscout.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

You mean a Venture scout?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which is part of the BSA, yes, thus making us Boy Scouts. Calm yer tits.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I was promoting it by saying the name dingus!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I was, yes. But they have a few other co ed programs as well.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That being said, girl scouts will not even let male siblings or fathers join in activities and events. Very rude.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

That's troop specific, not an organization rule. The girlscout camp near me has male registered girlscouts working there - cooks, handyman.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was council wide in my area which is why I was under the impression it was everywhere

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These organizations have different rules for employment positions

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

real logic is that this is an organization meant to empower young people to live their best lives, so who gives a fuck about their genitals

9 years ago | Likes 152 Dislikes 18

the teenage scouts would

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

People who don't give a shit about actual scouting values

9 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 4

Boy scouts were child soldiers

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*Raises Hand* I give a fuck about my genitals. In fact, my only regret is that I have but one fuck to give.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'll give you my fuck, too ;)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly what I'm saying. As we all know if a transgender kid touches your kid he'll be blowing guys in truck stop bathrooms in 5 years

9 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 9

I didn't even need the transgender touching.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh shit. Have I been infecting people all my life? Holy crap, I need to make some calls.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can't tell if this is sarcasm

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I hope so

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Girl Scouts learn nothing of worth imho...they should just make "Scouts"

9 years ago | Likes 171 Dislikes 28

Squirts

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well there are sea scouts and venture scouts both of which are for anyone. Sea is 11 and up while venture is 14-21 iirc.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's what we did in the UK. Its really no big deal to mix guys and girls up, as long as they use different tents.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

In upper levels there's a focus on activism, environmental stuff, and business skills but not much for younger girls anymore

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey Ron Swanson, what's up?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I learned how to darn a sock and pour glitter on things but I throw socks away at first hint of trouble. Glitter thing's useful, though...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As long as there are still cookies.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd slightly and politely disagree. I learned a lot of social and leadership skills I still carry today. But that was just my experience :)

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

They brainwash you in those girl scouts just to sell cookies to raise money so that they can put more fluoride in the water. Do you know

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What that stuff does to your brain?!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

In australia we had just Scouts, boys and girls etc, nobody cared, unfortunately it was just lame so i stopped going.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on the troop. Some focus on outdoorsy stuff, others crafts/homemaking, others sciencey stuff. (Cont)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Sweden we just call it The Scouts and always have

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wow. You guys got something right. Congrats

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You mean like how it is in Canada??

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

And Finland

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the uk

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

in scouts the it did not matter your gender, 20 pushups because everyone was being a rowdy shit.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My brothers went dogsledding. I learned how to put on makeup. I would have stayed if it had just been 'scouts'

9 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

yeah we made flower pots... I went into it thinking we'd learn about survival and go on cool adventures but it was so lame.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We made daisy chains. Literally. Utter horseshit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why are they not learning how to observe enemy troupe movements which is the actual job of a scout.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Still better than makeup, imo

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Because they are trying to disguise a paramilitary organisation.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I think Hitler did that, didn't turn out well.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I learned salesmanship. I pushed those cookies big time. Otherwise, I didn't learn much else I can remember

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In fairness, you probably developed your social skills, which are important in real life beyond school.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was the quiet one in the corner and was only friends with those girls because they were in my troop so... I guess I learned to fake it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds like real life to me!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0
