Get in the tub with them, lots less fright that way.

My Great Dane does exactly this to my leg every time I try to get her into the tub. I call it koala-ing.

I know it's silly, but I have to put on a baking suit and get in the bath with my pets to make them feel safe. They know they're not going to down cause I'm with them. It's cut the crying by about 50%. Not perfect, but better.

I ended up in the bath with my puppy the first time we washed her. She was so scared and crying. Now she's like "let's get this over with"

Reminds me of Courage, The Cowardly Dog.

I’ve started rewatching the whole series

Does it hold up as an adult?

I was an adult when it came out, and I’m pretty sure it was ultimately for adults. So, yeah, i bet it holds up.

Holding tight for their life. Try brining in a waterproof toy. Something to chew on for stress. You should take the collar off or have one just for baths.

Also, make a big fuss of them and pay extra attention to them afterwards so they associate bathtime with extra love and praise. Our last dog never put up a fight about baths because she knew she'd get lots of snuggles and extra treats afterwards.

Tried brining. Half sugar half salt. Dog tastes better. Still has an attitude.

It would not be Imgur without the top comment full of advice on what @OP is doing wrong.

To be fair it’s good advice and that’s part of what I like about Imgur. It may come off as conceded and it may be but it’s still good advice

Not everyone one the internet is being sinister. Sometimes it is just kindness.

Not everyone needs advice from strangers when posting a cute doggie pic.

I have some advice for you, get some therapy. If every time you received advice from parents, family, friends and co-workers throughout your life, you felt they thought you were wrong, then there is a lot to unpack.

Not wrong, just offering advice.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Offering advice is what people do when they see something and decide it's wrong.
