I don't know a lot about cats, and i can't spend time with them because i'm allergic, but this cat looks ... weird? or different? Is it a particular breed?
I'm fairly certain that the only thought that passed through my brown tabby's mind during his 18 years is "I'm a Cat!" usually followed by doing something incredibly stupid/cute.
I have learned to make sure I bring my 18yo cat to bed at night if she's asleep in the living room. Otherwise she will wake up in the night and call out like she's lost. She has become much needier in her old age.
