Great experience borrowing old films from the public library.
I'm not aware, do libraries have vinyl collections?

You think those foreign footprints that stumble in the library from 4 universe from here left any chemical that is harmful to our health? Was there any red flags?

I may have allegedly entered into a group where we share library cards to gain access to the resources of many locations

I get one wherever I live. I can see movies online through Hoopla and Kanopy.

If you get an ebook reader and Overdrive you can "check out" almost anything free. It's obviously really licensing it. Project Gothenburg also has *.pub versions of almost every public domain book.

Some libraries have taxidermied animals to loan out. John Oliver did a show on them earlier this year.

What a library carries is completely dependent on what town/city you live in. Funding also plays a key role in what materials are available for borrow. Glad you've discovered the joys of all the library has to offer!

That makes sense. Just searched and I think there might be one library near me has a small collection of vinyl, I'll go check it out tomorrow!

My local library has records, but they don't let them out of the listening areas due to them being stolen. You bring your own headphones and plug them into the record player. They've got converters for the different types of plugs.

I have a library card and patronize said library but don't pay anything toward keeping it running, because it's in a different county, but is still the closest library to me.

Yeah, unfortunately not everyone have access to a public library near them. Makes me grateful for what I have. It was like that for me for a couple of years, until I decided to move to a place that has a library within a walkable distance.

I work with a guy that reads comics from the library. I didn't even know that was a thing so he took me one day. They have a massive selection of old and new stuff.

Yeah, and pretty popular, might even need reservations. This reminded me of the blissful days I spent sitting in the library reading Detective Conan when I was 13 :D

If you live in California, almost all public libraries in the state will give you a library card for free if you live anywhere in the state. I have something like 15 library cards. It makes finding Audiobooks on Libby much easier.

owning several library cards and not owning a library card?

hahaha, except the first one!

Yes. Either that or panels 3 and 4 are redundant. So the meme cancels itself out. Or it's Schrödinger's library card. Or it is a non-dual experience of a library card. Or my reading and comprehension are off this morning and I need more caffeine.

Galaxy Brian: owning a library card and using it to do all of the above AND using the library's 3D printer to save money by printing replacement parts

My local.library has one. You can send a print job online, select a material, and then just go pick it up when it's done.

That is so smart and advance, good service!
