guys I think this is a phontoshnoop

6 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I hope so. Windows IoT is way too much for a simple task like counting.

"Error 418: I Am A Teapot."

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've always loved that error.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why the FUCK would you run windows on anything, let alone that? Linux exists, you know?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Doubtfull it realy uses it. You get "development" money, before you product is finished. Like upfront kickbacks.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Quite a lot of EU lawsuits against Microsoft are about that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Calm down robocop

6 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 1

That's what I was thinking! Good one

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm thinking more like Judge Dredd

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

can it play Doom?

6 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

"Greetings and welcome to another LGR thing."

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah but you need to actually fire and reload to rip and tear

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What an opportunity for proper force feedback.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Windows 10 huh?

I feel this would be said in a buddy cop show starring a cyborg and a Pac-Man arcade machine.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where the go to a crime scene and there's somehow no bullets on the scene of someone with one single bullet hole to the skull.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was in you all along. Sorry about shooting you by the way.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can I play doom on itm

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The slide seems like a bad spot to mount this. Put it in a place that isn't moving hundreds of feet per second.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kinda neat but also kinda dumb imo.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

LOL blue screen of death

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m 40 this propaganda has existed since before I could vote

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shame Democrats insist on trying to make smart guns mandatory, otherwise the people that actually want them would have them by now.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dose that gun run windows 10? Cause that looks like a windows 10 error screen

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it's shopped, look at the 'glare' on the screen

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

High cap mag already illegal in Kalifornia

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 7

Standard magazine is "high capacity" what bs

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And CO, CT, MD, HI, MA, NJ, NY, VT, and Washinton DC. Law enforcement exempt, of course.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thats a regular sized mag for non cali glocks, extended would be like 30 rnds

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This. We gotta stop letting them redefine shit and reframing the debate.

What in the fuck are you talking about? Link or you're full of shit.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really hate it when they try to computerize things that shouldn't be

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Truth be, gun design peaked during the Second World War. It's just been refinement and gimmicks since then.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The next revolution in shooting is probably going to be ammo. Either plastic cases or someone revisits caseless ammo again probably.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't know much about guns, but I have knowledge of propellants. It seems to me that caseless ammo as a concept is a bit flawed if you're using a conventional propellant like gunpowder because of residue buildup in places in the gun it wouldn't be if you're using brass cartridge ammunition. Seems like something that would increase the frequency of required cleaning and possibly more labor-intensive cleaning. Maybe the next innovation should be an alternative propellant.

I'm hoping gyrojets make a return for stuff like 40mm. We have the precision machining needed to make em work reliably now.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I could see them working for 40mm grenade launchers but nothing smaller due to the low muzzle velocity. Now if they had a more (1

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

conventional launch via a small powder charge so they had decent muzzle velocity before the gyrojets kicked in then I could see them (2

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, so, real talk, I just want my .75 cal rocket-assisted heretic remover before I die.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What the hell?

6 years ago | Likes 660 Dislikes 3

Possibly less stupid than it looks organizations like police depts and shooting ranges might want a GPS receiver and shot count on a pistol.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

If this isn't photoshopped, it's more likely either for gaming or as a training tool, rather than being a real gun.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Especially since the display won't affect weapon performance if malfunctioning.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Right? Why would you run Windows 10 on a thing like this? It's almost like it's super obviously fake.

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

windows for embedded systems is a thing though

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

yeah, but it's still too bloated, it would make more sense to be running some flavor of Linux, since it can be stripped down much more.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For a more end user example Tiny Core's base install is only 11mb. with a full desktop version being 16-100mb depending on which image used

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which part

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The windows 10 blue screen? The ammo counter display isn't fake.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just wanted it for the record

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That looks like a real Windows 10 blue screen to me.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nobody would run a full win10 os for a display of one sensors input.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seriously. I thought the whole point of a Glock was that they'll shoot in just about any condition.

6 years ago | Likes 138 Dislikes 3

Also the only way you can do any real harm is by throwin the darn thing.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

not really that reliable, a gummed up striker channel fouls the gun real quick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYUz5jahjFs

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The photo's fake, you wouldn't be running Windows on something like this. Also it would still shoot even if the software crashes.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yeah I was like why run Windows on that thing? Maybe Win IoT would be fine but still overkill.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unless it's caseless ammo and using an electronic ignition system.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Anything not necessary to fire would probably be run independently of the actual firing mechanism. At least I'd assume so.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Glock's fine. Fancy computer bits not fine

6 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 1

Guns don't need to be complex, they need to be reliable.

6 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

Lasers!!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure this is an official Glock thing. Looks like an after-market mod. I think it's cool, but obviously needs ironing out

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I would say the perfect weapon already exists. The AK 47 simple, reliable and a fuck ton of ammunition around the world

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I guess you'll just have to count the shots in your head in case the display stops working, THE HORROR!

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Or pull the trigger until the slide stays back and then reload

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That sounds suspiciously like hard work

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's a Bluetooth ammo counter, has to be synced to your phone.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To add, the gun is fine and working, the counter needs a reset and should be fine.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They were never ment to fight in cyber warfare.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It's not a fracking Cylon weapon.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I always assume people that say “frack” have never spoken to another person in their entire life.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I take it you aren't a Battlestar Galactica fan.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That may be so but remember that a Ruger can't fire without a clip

6 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 3

Sometimes they can't fire WITH the mag either.

Magazine.

I know, but not in tiger king which I was referencing

That was a quote from Tiger King. Right before a guy accidentally shoots himself in the head

Thank you! ?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Let me know when the tech is made for when i reload a half spent mag is going into a general ammo pool.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Probably be some tech in each magazine to measure spring tension and tell the gun

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We should just skip to the "magic teleporting bracelets that store unloaded guns but then pour bullets into them" from Ultraviolet

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wow, that was... not very well choreographed.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

v

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I remember playing some game where it saved half spent magazines...I think ARMA does but I've never played it, so maybe Op. Flashpoint?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Insurgency keeps track, kinda. the system is screwy but it tries.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ghost Recon Breakpoints new mode allows you to turn real ammo consumption on/off.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Escape From Tarkov not only keeps track of how many bullets but each individual bullet type within mags from the entire server. It's awesome

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Do you mean that if it has two different magazines that are the same caliber, it will differentiate?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Theres no limit, and each caliber has 4-8 different types as seen here: https://escapefromtarkov.gamepedia.com/Ballistics Let's say you 1/?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wanted a visual indicator for when your mag is running dry... you can load in 5 tracer rounds, and then 25 armor piercing on top of it. 2/?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In short, yes and so much more. I didn't really answer your question very well in my comment thread. Even the AI's magazines are tracked.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Starting another comment thread because they can get difficult to navigate. Here is a screenshot taken in raid /a/oCWmxp1

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I brought the ASh-12 into the raid, and killed the M4A1 user and took his gear. Notice that I have 20/20 on all of my mags because I
