I was so excited when it was announced that Billy Corgan would be a guest on Regis & Kathie Lee years ago, thinking he would show everyone that rock musicians can be intelligent. I guess it was just too early in the morning and Corgan did the interview half asleep, essentially doing the stereotype of grunting, one-word answers. Disappointed.

Context: Howie mandell started a rumer that billy corgan and bill burr might be related(half-bros) why? They kinda look alike and in a previous convo w/billy corgan, he mentioned his mom even suggested it since their dad/husband slept around during his musician days. Bill burr is annoyed because howie has been leaning on this joke as real,playing innocent. Then In this clip of his podcast invite both of them without telling either and you are witnessing bill burrs reaction.

The context is that Howie Mandel is an asshole and thought it would be hilarious to do some Maury Povich stunt in public about a private matter without telling the participants. It's about the possibility of the two Bills sharing a father or not. Neither of them really gives a shit but Burr has been trying to protect his family from this kind of journalism and having Mandel bring it up is a direct attack on his family when he knows he doesnt want to talk. No idea why you'd post it either

I’m only just learning of this dynamic now, but it reminds me of the “animosity bits” between Conan O’Brien and Paul Rudd, or Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon. If someone uninformed only watched one of those segments they probably don’t get the long running joke. That’s kind of the point of it being a long running joke. You have to see the history to get it, so I agree in some ways, yes the responsibility is on the viewer. Or rather, it’s simply not content targeted to single viewers.

So to be clear, We have to watch, this interview, where they are uncomfortable and upset with each other, AND several other interviews were they alude to the fact that this is a long running joke, AND a still further podcast where he explains that the long running joke, and this interview are infact a joke, to get the joke.

I've seen pics of corgan's dad, from Illinois. Burr's dad was a dentist in central mass. I cannot find a picture of him. They talk in the interview as though he's the same guy tho. It doesn't make any sense unless Burr's mom had an affair with Corgan's dad. But the convo isn't like that. Can anyone make it make sense?
