Prosthetics are getting better and better, but until we are at automail levels I choose leg.

Why is he an ass for wanting to be able to snowmobile? o.o;

Yes. Hugging is why I want arms.

The correct answer is "no"
ObsceneTentacularInsertions
you can't hug your children with a snowmobile
flavivsaetivs
Not with that attitude.
DirkRight
Need a wife to hug her.

*Need a wife who wants to hug you.
Jaqdakloun
You can hug someone with one arm.
Vineheart01
There is a lot of things you cant do with an arm missing. Theres a surprisingly small amount of things you cant do without a leg.
zdriver984
She doesn't sound like someone you would want to hug anyways
AWhiteYoshi
And that kids, is what you call a loaded question.

Arm for sure!

Regret? Possibly. Upgrade from learning? Definitely.
Sigge1981
You can easily hug with one arm. Driving a snowmobile with one arm is not easily done.
TheCrustyMustard
Most things are considerably more difficult without hands, mainly because of your thumbs. And prosthetics have come a long way for legs.
NotTheRealMeNow
You do that Christian side-hug!

Davincimode
you can go in small circles very easily, but not very fast.
rvt2
And not necessary, indeed I never drove a snowmobile.
VodkaReindeer
Surely you could modify it slightly to allow for control with something like a joystick.
jiynxed
What if you could make a snowmobile for ants?
brianearl
Way easier than driving a motorcycle with one arm. Snowmobiles don’t have gears and only need 1 brake lever and a throttle control
I've never been snowmobiling, maybe I'm chasing all the wrong things in life
pEdRaTeMpA
Mountain riding is unreal. You need to be a confident rider before you head up though, might lose a sled or die otherwise.
ovelanimimerkki
Yeah, you are. You're supposed to ride the snowmobile, not chase it.
onecowboytoo
My old man told me, before he left this shitty world, never chase buses or women, you'll always be left behind.

There could be a lot of snowmobile riding in your future.

I love diving, but fucking A, hitting the edge of a shelf is the most terrifying and humbling thing ever. Fuck the deep blue.
mydailydoseofantidepressantsisyourbooty
It’s exciting in a scary way to me! No matter how much I practice videography, I can’t seem to replicate the feeling on screen
bluesun68
Waverunners and 4 wheelers aren't so frickin cold.
canyouthriveat35
I 4 wheel regularly but we don’t get enough snow to snowmobile. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try.
Sureeb
Waverunners are way more fun than snowmobiles. I'd take getting stuck on a warm lake over breaking down in the snow at 15 degrees any day.
velovali
It's on my bucket list. Somewhere in the US or canada. Although we have plenty of snow here (switzerland) everything that envolves engines
and nature is prettymuch illegal and you're going to get caught real quick, because it seems noone likes to see others have fun here. :(
daaaBlues
While I understand why they are against it, snowmobiling leaves no trace behind. Once the snow melts there's no tracks/ruts leftover.
Iresemblethatremark
Could you stop having fun, eh? That's right untidy, I tell you what. (Come visit Canada.)

Prosthetic legs seem far more manageable (and functional) than curent prosthetic hands. We're not fully there with cyborg hands. Soon!
What about cyborg penises?
TakuanSoho
SidneyHarbor
Agreed, plus tons of good paying jobs can be done sitting down (especially computer jobs) and comparatively few require lots of walking.
Kbantar
Prosthetic legs still cause problems like irritation, pain, and injury at contacts etc. But for activity, I agree hands are less effective.
blueishskies
The socket fit does. Not the prosthetic leg componentry.
DavidTennantsHairIsWhatILiveFor
(1/2) My research is in Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI), and what we’re trying to do is make prosthetic arms move using brain waves. I think
(2/2) we’ll have something efficient and affordable (hopefully) within the next 5 - 10 years.
This is the future for most in wheelchairs! Thank you for your research.
This is very true. There are options for nerve innervation for upper extremity. Still, lack of touch and feedback.
Nekomatsuya
Plus often the lack of dexterity.
Rule29
I have noticed tactile feedback is very under rated. If I’m wearing gloves and trying to clip my dog on the leash it’s 100x harder.
Exactly and this is assuming you have all your fingers, arm, nerves, tendons and muscles intact. I throw my mittens off every time!
I've seen people run with prostethic legs. The "tought controlled" hands we have now are merely in prototype stages.
But they couldn't run from justice.
Dustfinger4268
I saw one design that was supposedly even more efficient for running than a normal leg
tychog99
There's plenty of those, what do you think they use at the Paralympics? Those runners would kick regular athletes' asses
bs13690
People get mad at me when I say this is the best time in history to lose a leg. Much easier than a wooden peg.
willvasco
Plus you aren't likely to die from infection from a dirty sawblade, plus anaesthetic, lots of ways it's the best time
That's like saying this is the best time in history to have AIDS, cancer, brain damage, etc. Odd thing to say even if technically true.
BALLSD33P69
I don't get why they would get mad. Better to lose one now than like you said with a peg leg.
They seem to think i'm saying it would be a good thing to lose a leg.
Exactly. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that I'd rather lose both my legs below the knee than lose one hand, let alone an arm.
Those running prosthetics are wild. They can often run faster and jump higher than regular athletes with those things due to the springs.
They're basically giant springs they run and jump on, made specifically to aid a human in running and jumping.
ThatNoPicklePeeThatNoPumpARum
Cyberpunk 2077 nears.
supremedingbat
Thanks for including the below the knee part... above the knee amputations leave you with terrible mobility
I know, that's why I included it. Still, I'd rather be in a wheelchair or in like 10 years robotic legs than not have my hands.
Given that we'll likely have properly functioning leg replacements than arm replacements. Legs are a lot less complicated
