We knew we were taking in a hospice puppy but just didn't think he would go so soon, he was so energetic and he was fighting hard so we thought there might be a chance for more time but that wasn't the case today..
Edit: Wow this blew up very quickly. Thank you all for the condolences. me and my partner are dealing with it in strides we took him to be cremated today....and decided he will sit next to my mom on the furnace and we hope she can enjoy her new puppy as much as we did.

We had a puppy mill pug for a year before she had to be put to sleep. It completely broke us. Sorry @OP <3

We took an old bulldog from the SPCA (they know us very well) and was only able to keep him a week. His health kept deteriorating quickly 1)

Same, I had a ginger that lived for 9 months. He was the boldest, most inquisitive guy I'd ever seen. His life was short but he lived hard!
