It's...
It's getting rough out there.
Never thought I'd browse apartments in a different city, just in case I needed to suddenly not be where I was living. Not at my age.
But this is the reality we live in, where states are passing laws making it so certain people can't use the bathroom in public without risk. Official documents are being taken away from people, and states here, in the land of the fucking free, are MAKING LISTS OF CERTAIN TYPES OF PEOPLE. Passing laws to make it official.
So we prepare, and we fight, and we hope beyond hope that the worst doesn't happen but the amount of my coworkers who, cool as they are, have no idea what's happening to us? It's gonna be a long road.
Better we have to fight it than leave the fight to our children.

It took a lot to make the decision to go forward with transition. And it was almost 2 years before someone got me flowers. Maybe mail your egg some flowers, or give them in person. The world needs trans folk more than it needs unhappy allies.

You know, I was uncertain, wondering if it'd be a faux pas. Can't really ask any trans person I know else that anonymity goes out the window and other things get unnecessarily complicated. Meaning you're the only trans voice in this. I guess I'll trust you on that judgment.

So there's something called the Egg Prime Directive that says you cannot tell someone that they're trans. First off, you could just be wrong. Also, Some people will react by crawling deeper into the closet. Then there are some people who need a gentle nudge. If they're a really good friend of yours, then just be careful about it. Eggs hatch best in the warmth, when they're kept safe.
