There are no wolves on Fenris.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I like how PETA got pissy about Space Wolves wearing fur

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

PETA have literally called GW stores in the past to scream about GW keeping Rhinos in small boxes. The Rhino being a name of a tank.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

lol that sounds like a prank call 'Do you have any Rhinos?' 'Yes!' 'Then let them out you bastards, they're Endangered!'

#6 whats this from?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't get it.. How DOES Papa Nurgle give me that nasty, gooey space aids?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

With a butter knife, a pine cone. and three live goats.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

he knows about it. that's how you catch something as virulent as space aids.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

'Dear Anthran, The Emperor protects the faithful.' <- good shit. Post the images larger/more easily readable in the future.

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

If the Eldar weren't titanically stuck-up dicks, they might catch fewer las rounds... of course their armor is on par with Guard flak, so...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would but unfortunately thats the only size I could find them in ;-;

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I wonder if it really is possible for the light of the Emperor to find its way into the hearts of the Xenos..

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Of course it is. The trick is proper sight picture, sight alignment, and occasional massed fire of small groups of 10-20,000,000 guardsmen.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I don’t know what any of this means

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Pretty pictures from a very not pretty fictional universe

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This is a series of images from the Warhammer 40K Universe, which coined the term "Grimdark"

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

and then shit all over it because it was not grim or dark enough and there was still hope.

Is she.... on her period? Is that what's going on here?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

She's basically a very angry battle nun. On her period.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Been out of 40k a while... whomst are these nutbags?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the sisters of battle. they're the Women at arms for the ecclesiarchy since they can't have met at arms they use women soldiers instead

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If the emperor had eyes, they'd roll out of his head at the stupid loophole.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In short, you're fucked. With a melta.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know what has to be done/Filth on my land must be washed clean and pure/NOW LET THE CLEANSING BEGIN!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for the Space Corgis.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ahah, I have stumbled upon an Imperial thread, I'll just be over here out of range of melee combat.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I smell fish

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but that won't save you from the Manticores.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or the Basilisk regiment. or the Deathstrike batteries.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There are books on this, right? Like novels, not table top rule books. Where should I start? Those undead-looking guys look cool.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Space Wolf Omnibus for a complete introduction to 40k

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The books that start the heresy are the horus heresy series. They take place 10000 before current fluff timeline. Lists can be found online

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The undead robots are Necrons. There are plenty of novels in this setting! Check out the Black Library.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look up black library, the undead guys are necrons. More akin to t1 terminators, best place to read their lore is 1d4chan.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Check out 'The World Engine' by Ben Counter.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Check out black library, they have all novels for warhammer. As where to start, I suggest the Horus Heresy series.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

There's alot of lore books on the series. Personally I'd start by reading up some lore on the wiki or something

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you already know your basic lore of which there is a lot Then Id start with the Horus Heresy books since that hows 40K itself got started

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Other than that good luck and I hope you have as much fun with the lore as I do

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah, alright. I was looking for something like the Warcraft books, but I can get lost in a good wiki for a couple hours too. Thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would strongly recommend Dan Abnet's Eisenhorn trilogy. They follow the career of an Inquisitor from being idealistic to becoming a 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

...full of bitter radical. They're pretty self contained and give you a good flavour of what it is like living in the Imperium. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ciaphas Cain: Hero of the Imperium by Sandy Mitchell.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I love this series. It follows a cowardly commissar as he tries to avoid the frontlines but keeps getting his actions misinterpreted as (1)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

heroics. It is funny but also a good starter as it has footnotes for terms and creatures you may not have seen before. Also great series.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isn't he the guy who said "If your only hope of survival is charging a Carnifex with a broken chair leg. You charge the Carnifex"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Necron? My personal faves. Lore changed recently for 'em and I can't keep up in college. Don't know if they have novels, doubt it.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well that's where I'm confused I guess. Does all this lore come from the rule books? It seems like so many stories/comics were made from 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

the series that I assumed there were books like the Warcraft-style series that are made from the lore but with an outside author writing it.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Here’s a good place to start: https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Necron

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you can find their rule books, it will contain a good bit of fluff and info about the necrons. But you can get all that info online too.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Where is a good place to start learning about this stuff?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Theres a bunch of places. If you don't want to spend money the 40K wiki is a great place to start, theres also a lot of youtube videos

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

thanks for the advice, I'm seeing a lot of people say start with Horus Hersey book, bought that today

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Again you might be a little lost but the Horus Heresy is where everything goes bad and the main plot starts

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Personally I'd suggest looking up One Mind Syndicate on youtube. They make 40K content every single day and they have an extensive backlog

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also theres a guy called Arch Warhammer and he's covering a 40K book series called "The Horus Heresy" which is the backstory for the current

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

40K universe
