I absolutely love Hans Zimmer and the amazing contributions he's done in his life toward music. However, I'm absolutely fucking SICK of EVERYONE using clips of his amazing work for their mundane attempts at online clout. It's a plane being lifted while parked by a gust of wind. Stop disrespecting good music. Yes I'm shaking my fist at the clouds, and yes I fully realize OP is prob not the creator of this content. And yet, I rage.

"... and.... V1... rotate..."

3 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Better have V2 before rotating but then again it this case it's zero

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really? OK, learning new things, thank you. I've seen so many flight vids and I only ever hear "V1.... annnndd, rotate!" - never heard a human call out V2 before. This is what I was told:

V2 (Takeoff Safety Speed): This speed ensures the plane can safely lift off, maintain control, and climb at a required gradient, even with one engine failed. It is typically reached by the time the plane reaches 35 feet in altitude. (so, when already airborne!)

That last line is the confuser...

When people say the Wright Brothers invented the "airplane" what they really invented was the airfoil that provides lift for heavier than air machines.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Probably the fact that it has no engines that allows for the lift.

When I worked at MIA Tower back in the 80's, Southern Air was a front for the CIA. They would file flight plans to the middle of nowhere in the Gulf of Mexico.

Lift is far out. My dad flew a cessna that was very important to tie down at the landing strip for this exact reason. It really didn’t take much for wind to pick it up and do damage.

My uncle used to own a 4 seat single prop plane and I went up with him a few times. The yaw was what freaked me out the most.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

why? I've only felt weird when too much or not enough yaw is used lol. This is in gliders tho

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From the instant the wheels left the runway the entire plane began to yaw, not controlled to yaw, just air induced yaw.

Huh. A fixed propellor VTOL, didn't think those were a thing.
Well, the take-off; landing looks like it is going to be somewhat less vertical... and less 'landing'.
