Honestly this is fine. I think a lot of people here are unaware Pacific Rim 2 already exists and it would require a lot of effort to make something worse. Like nobody remembers Pacific Rim 1 for the awesome characters, stick him in a robot, let him act mopey and distant, whatever. If they can get someone able to choreograph 20-30 minutes of kaiju fights half as interesting as the first movie and mimic the camerawork from that film instead of the sequel's lazy take it's a win.

I can't imagine anyone being successful with a Joker designed like that, let along Leto. Same with Morbius and now Tron. He keeps signing on to projects that are doomed to fail for some reason. He was a producer on both Morbius and Tron though, in fact he's a big reason Tron: Ares even got made. Not sure how much creative input he had on Morbius, producer control can vary, but Tron: Ares at least it sounds like was made the way he wanted it.

I hope someday it will be released but i doubt it. It would be great if someone just dove on the grenade like ryan renolds did and leak the whole movie. I know no one involved has the income, money, or clout to survive that lawsuit though sadly =(
